Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell redefined the way a stealth action game should be done. Everything about it dripped with polish. The lighting created an eeriely tense mood that you actually felt like a field operative. The way that Sam Fisher had to sneak around slowly without being heard, dispatching enemies without being seen, while infiltrating the Kalinatek base (5th Level), has got to be one of the best immersive feelings in a game I've ever played. It could be it's own training simulator. Heck even the training level was cool.

The game even got an extra mission to play called Kola Cell downloaded via Xbox Live. So if you beat the game, there was another foray to enter as our favorite CIA operative.

Now that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (how has Mr. Clancy come up with all these code names for missions?) has been revealed it begs to wonder if it will be as good or better than the original. In all respect it seems to be. Based on screenshots we see Sam doing an extra move. He's hanging upside down with his legs holding him on a steel bar. Looks like the move Nova does in Starcraft: Ghost. Finally Sam can shoot his SC-20K while hanging instead of just his pistol.

The levels have also seemed to get more diverse. In one screenshot Sam is seen moving about in a jungle environment with stratus clouds above. I guess those all concrete and steel environments needed some variety and Pandora Tomorrow looks to bring it.

I haven't seen how the infrared looks like, but the nightvision has gone throught a slight change. You can still see in the dark, but instead of using a black and white grainy look to it, it has a more yellow-brown black grainy look. It makes the nightvision look better for some reason and the way light looks when you have the nightvision on looks very slick. Just look at the pictures.

Pandora Tomorrow looks to better his predecessor by adding more variety to the levels and hopefully make them bigger with more paths and shadows to sneak around in. The Xbox Live too will have something to say for this game as you can sneak around with real people. Look out for this one.

"Tell me there'll be more rappelling in this one."

Graphics - Just great. Good cinematic quality. You're actually playing a Star Wars movie.
9.0
Sound - Same old Star Wars theme never gets old as you being the story. Lightsabers sound like lightsabers. The voice acting is top notch.
9.7
Gameplay - Very deep. So much to do with all the sidequests along with the main quest. Fighting system takes a while to get used to, but it's smooth once you know how to use it.
9.6
Satisfaction - Oh yeah, this game is duly recommended. Get if even if you're not a Star Wars fan. 2 different endings make you play it twice.
