Wavedashing/Moonwalking is an advanced technique used in SSBM to fake out your opponent. If used correctly, the wavedash can actually transport your character faster than a regular dash would(Mainly with Mario, Dr. Mario, and Luigi). To wavedash, you must jump and then immediatly press down and a direction(forward or backward) and Dodge(L or R). To Moonwalk, you must run forward then wavedash backward, then run forward(If you repeat this process quickly, you will create the illusion that you are Moonwalking).
