Quidditch Rules


NEW RULES:

1. If you want to talk to your team mates with an instant messenger during the game you can. It has recently come to my attention that this happens a lot anyway so now it is fair you can help each other using instant messenger.

2. No abbreviations will be considered, but if you say the entire answer and it is spelled wrong, as long as I understand what you meant it is ok.

 

Our Quidditch Rules are simple.  About two hours before the game begins, the Headmistress will send an e-mail to all who are supposed to participate (this keeps unwanted people out of the game room) with the address of the Quidditch Field.  Please Note:  For games that occur during a weekday, the Headmistress will send the address of the Quidditch Room 30 minutes before the beginning of the game.  Once you receive that address, you will have twenty minutes to sign into the game room before the game starts.

The Headmistress will ask a question to a position.  For example, "Chasers, what is Harry Potter's mother's name?" and ONLY the chasers will be allowed to answer.  The first chaser to answer gets ten points for his side.  The game goes on until the Headmistress asks a question for the seekers.  The first seeker to get the question correct wins their team 150 points and ends the game.

It's not too difficult, just remember to be quiet when it isn't your turn to answer.  Any questions answered by the wrong person will be a penalty on that team.  That's basically all there is to know about Quidditch at Salem! 

Oh, by the way, all the players on the winning team get 10 galleons and the players on the not-so-winning team get 5 galleons.
