The Washington Capitals and Calgary Flames skated to a 3-3 tie at MCI Center on Wednesday night. The teams combined for six goals in the final 5:37 of regulation after going scoreless for the first 54:23 of the contest. Jaromir Jagr's goal with one second left on the clock enabled the Caps to escape with a point.

Capitals Search for 7th Man
The Washington Capitals, in conjunction with the NHL, launched the search for the second annual 7th Man Award Jan. 14. The Capitals are looking for their most avid fan, who will be honored at the Capitals game against the New York Rangers April 3. That fan will win many wonderful prizes along with being a finalist for the NHL 7th Man award. The league's winner will serve as NHL commissioner for a day and have the opportunity to drop the ceremonial first puck at the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals.

A capacity crowd was on hand to watch the Washington Capitals alumni team defeat country radio station WMZQ 98.7-FM, 4-3, in the second alumni game of the season Saturday, Jan. 10.
