Abyssinian Horsemen and some Snyder-yaji (modern rifle-armed troops) look upon the Eritrean defenders of "the Spur", another Eritrean is visible on the backside of the hill, fuzzily the Italians defending the well can be seen, and barely in sight on the hill at the back of the picture imagine another unit of Italian Infantry and a Maxim Machine gun.

Abyssinian hordes quickly outnumber the Eritreans, even with them bringing a third unit onto "the Spur".

Later in the game a unit of Horsemen charge, more to draw fire away from the following infantry units

The infantry crawl forward, so more cavalry go in and in spite of what you might think due to the disparity of forces at the point of potential contact, the Italians win the ensuing melee.
