Today we said good-bye

After only a few brief encounters

I know it is for the best

For both, your heart and mine

For a moment I felt like crying

Then I realized a truth

That we had the chance to teach each other

And we learned that we could still love

Though we can't be together

You will always have a place in my heart

And we'll always have our memories

That only you and I share

Ones that no one can take away

And that is special on it's own

I'm glad that we can part as friends

And still talk, soul to soul

It's seems a bittersweet end to me

That we know how we feel

But still can't be together

Yet we both know what it would mean

If we ever really were

So take this....

One last kiss

And hold it close to your heart

For you will always have a place in mine
