As another night's darkness falls upon me

I am holding you once again, deep within

my dreams. I see the pale moonlight

casting shadows over the beauty that

is you. I hear a Lark calling in the distance

as if echoing the longing I feel for you.

As the hours tick slowly by I can feel you

here beside me, yet I reach out touching

nothing. I wake up in a cold sweat, feeling

oh so lonely. I reach for the phone to send

my love along the wire but I retract my

hand as I notice the time. It's funny how

feelings can grow so strong in such a short

time. How not being able to touch your

sweet face, to hear your sweet voice

whisper "I love you!" How knowing that

you are a hundred miles away yet it feels

like millions when you are gone.

Suddenly I hear footsteps and I realize

it was all just a dream. As you slide under

the covers beside me I feel the heat of

your breath on my neck.

I smile as I pull you close and whisper

"I love you too!"
