X-men2 - X-men United
Professor Xavier's (Patrick Stewart) group of xmen composed of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Storm (Halle Berry), Cyclops (James Marden), Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) and students at the academy Rogue (Anna Paquin), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), Pyro (Aaron Stanford) team up to take on the evil mutant Magneto (Ian McKellen) and his flunky Mystique (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos). The two groups team up to take out a mutual threat to mutant-kind William Stryker (Brain Cox), and his bodyguard, Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu).
The movie starts out with Wolverine trying to find out where he came from and how he came to be. Wolverine returns to the mansion when it is attacked by Stryker's men as they try to inforce the law to identify all mutants. Wolverine kills many of the soldiers and makes time for the students to flee to safety with some help from Iceman, Pyro, Rogue and Colossus. Professor Xavier is captured by Stryker and, he along with his son a messed up super psychic mutant, try to make Xavier kill all mutant kind. The X-Men and Magneto go to Stryker's secret base and try to get the professor back. Can they get to the professor in time and save mutant kind? Can they trust Magento as an ally? I thought this was a pretty good movie. I am a pretty big fan of the comic books and I don't like how they didn't include alot of the original characters in the movie. I also didn't like how they made the masion out to be more of an academy with kids. For comic book fans, is anyone else wondering where Gambit, Beast, Rogue's super power's and many other missing elements are? There are alot of allusions of things to come but I don't like the way they are doing it. Besides all that what is missing, it was still a pretty good movie. The movie had lots of cool special effects. My favourite part is when Magneto pulls the iron out of the guy's blood. The fight scenes were pretty cool. The plot wasn't that great, but overall a not bad action packed kind of movie.
