Hollywood Homicide - Movie Review

Hollywood Homicide

cover

Hollywood Homicide is about two struggling detectives, Joe Gavilan (Harrison Ford) and K.C. Calden (Josh Harnett). While struggling with side jobs of real estate and yoga instructor, the two dectective's latest case involves a dance club shooting spree, killing of a up and coming rap band. The dectectives find out through informants "Wanda" (Lou Diamond Phillips) and Cleo Ricard (Lolita Davidovich) and his psychic girlfriend Ruby (Lena Olin) that the rap groups record company CEO Antoine Sartain (Isaiah Washington) is responsible for the murders along with his crony Leroy Wasley (Dwight Yoakam).

I thought this movie was pretty good. It was action packed and full of chase scenes, shooting, explosions, etc. Harrison Ford did a great job, as he always does. My favourite scene was when Josh Harnett and Harrison Ford chase down an informant around this little pond and the guy tries to get away on a paddle boat. Not much of a plot to this movie and it doesn't really ask any deep meaningful questions, but not a bad shoot'em up kind of flick.
