The Bourne Supremacy - Movie Review

The Bourne Supremacy

cover

Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) has been trying to live unnoticed in Goya, India with his girlfirend Marie (Franka Potente). Bourne was getting flash back and having head aches. He noticed a man that didn't seem right named Kirill (Karl Urban). Jason decided their cover was blown and tried to leave, but Kirill chased after them. In the chase Marie was shot and Bourne almost drowned. Bourne then tried to find out who was after him. He thought it was the CIA so went to Naples and used his passport. He was detained but escaped and got the cell phone number of the people who were after him Ward Abbott (Brian Cox) was the leader of the CIA program bourne was in. Pamela Landy (Joan Allen) now has taken over the Bourne case. Bourne asks to have a meeting with Nicky (Julia Stiles) an operative he knew from previous missions. The CIA has lots of agents tracking Nicky, but Bourne manages to loose them and find out the information he needs. Bourne travels all over the world to stop the people plottting against him while also solving his own personal turmoil.

I thought this was a pretty good action movie. There were lots of stunts and shoot outs. Some of the camera work shakiness bothered me along with the blurry to fast shots of action. The plot wasn't very good, it just seemed an excuse to show off Bourne's amazing evasion, stealth, fighting and spying techniques. What makes this movie worth seeing is the action sequences and the whole espionage James-Bond-like part of the plot. If you like spy movies you will probably like this movie. If you liked the first movie this is more of the same.
