Live By The Sword - Warrior

JAELOVE of Pojo, though I was never very fond of his COTD Reviews, wrote a GREAT article on how to build and use a Swiss Army Deck, and that can be found here. I highly suggest reading it, as that is what this deck is. The basic premise of a Swiss Army Knife/Toolbox Deck is that Reinforcement of the Army can search out whatever Warrior will solve your current situation. If a Cyber Dragon controls the field, search for Goblin Attack Force. If there's a face down monster, search for Mystic Swordsman LV2. If there are a lot of Traps, search Wildheart. The deck is very weird looking, as there are few doubles of cards. Warriors nowadays are more splashable than anything, but building a deck around them is still solid.

These decks used to focus solely around Marauding Captain and his swarming ability, then everyone realized that it was bad hand management and overextending wasn't such a hot idea anymore. As such, Marauding isn't even in the deck. Otherwise, everything is pretty standard.

Some interesting bits about the deck are Command Knight, Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke, and Greenkappa (which I originally had, then needed to drop to stay at 40). Command Knight has the second highest defense of any Warrior, next to Big Shield Gardna. At 1900 defense, it can stand up to most monsters out there, and while it's face up it gives all of your Warriors +400 attack. Not a bad deal, as DD Survivor and the Ninja can take down Cyber Dragon while Command is out. Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke is an overlooked card, since Drillroid beats it in almost everything except attack. However, Ninja can be searched with Reinforcement of the Army, and it's a nice compliment to a Warrior deck, as 1800 attack is still very decent. If it's not working for you, try a second DD Survivor or a Cyber Dragon over it. Greenkappa is also overlooked, but it's a searchable Mobius in Flip Effect form. Give it a try, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Otherwise, the deck is pretty standard. Nothing really interesting about it, nor is there anything you've never seen. Standard Toolbox.

Monsters - 19 (3 Tribute, 16 Non-Sacrifice)

Magic/Spells - 14

Traps - 7
