Jurassic Park - Dinosaur Deck

There isn't a whole lot to say about Dinosaur decks. They more or less focus on doing immense amounts of damage through Trample and Black Tyranno's effect. There are a few little tricks that you can do with them, but for the most part they remain almost purely beatdown.

The only real support that Dinosaurs have comes from Ultra Evolution Pill. By sacrificing a Reptile for UEP, you can special summon a Dinosaur from your hand. Not a bad trade off, especially since Black Tyranno is a 7* monster and the special summon allows you to get a big Dino out first turn. However, there aren't any great Reptiles in the game. Sinister Serpent is banned, and unless you want to use Balloon Lizard or Gale Lizard, you're pretty much left with nothing to use with UEP. I'm not including it in this deck.

Tyranno Infinity is also absent from this deck. With the release of Macrocosmos, it could probably see a lot more play...but I'm old school, and Dinosaurs have never struck me as a RFG type. They don't naturally remove themselves from play, so you would need to waste deckspace to remove them from the game. It's just not worth it, IMO. You can try something like that, but Dinosaur decks can be kinda monster heavy, so you don't need Gigantes/Bazoo/etc. for a RFADD finish.

This deck will have a lot of strong opening moves. If you go first with this deck, you will most likely have DD Warrior Lady, a Hyper Hammerhead, or a position changing card that you can use on the opponent's turn. If you go second, you should have a Gilasaurus or a Hydrogeddon to swarm the field.

There is a decent amount of overextending involved with this deck, and it's important to know when you can and cannot spend your resources. The deck wields a decent amount of big monsters to take advantage of the field swarming abilities of Gilasaurus, Hydrogeddon, Treeborn Frog, etc., but you cannot just blindly summon these monsters whenever the opportunity arises.

Monsters - 19 (5 Tribute, 14 Non-Sacrifice)

Magic/Spells - 14

Traps - 7
