Blitz - Aggro

Well, the oldest deck out there and quite possibly the one that requires the LEAST amount of strategy is Beatdown. It has evolved over time; from LOB with it's "POWER UP YOUR BEWD NOW." to Pharoah's Servant with "Axe on Harpie's Bro, Summon GAF, attack for 4100" to LOD with Spear and Gemini Elf all the way to now. Nowadays, however, this theme is simply called "Aggro."

Aggro decks are, as the name implies, aggressive. However, these decks are smart aggressive. They utilize effects rather than just aiming to hit life points. Let's begin with the newest Aggro supporter out there, Cyber Dragon. Cyber Dragon is a 2100 5* monster that can be special summoned if you have no monsters on the field but the opponent does. If you go second in a duel, Cyber Dragon is the best starting move you could make - Special Summon a 2100 beatstick, then normal summon something like Spirit Reaper. Cyber Dragon also has enough attack to take down Airknights, Gorillas, Vampire Lords, and can match a Zombyra. Outside of that, it's also very nice Morph bait, as you can turn it into a Dark Balter the Terrible.

This format, Aggro decks have taken on a whole new form - Return from a Different Dimension. Chaos Return is by far the most effective deck this format, utilizing the double Nobleman on cards like Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive and the removing power of Chaos Sorceror. Return from a Different Dimension is the only card this format that can win games for you when you're down in life points and card advantage. At the cost of half your life points, you can Return a Jinzo, three Dekoichis, and a Cyber Dragon and hit the opponent for 8700 damage. And that's NOT hard to accomplish at all. One Nobleman on a Dekoichi and one summoning of Chaos Sorceror is all it takes to deal massive damage with Return.

The monsters in this deck are all great monsters in and of themselves, but since they can feed Chaos Sorceror, they become even better. Take a look. This is the outline of the most successful deck this format.

Monsters - 20 (6 Tribute, 14 Non-Sacrifice)

Magic/Spells - 11

Traps - 9
