Boring Deck, Boring Page - Beatdown

Well, the oldest deck out there and quite possibly the one that requires the LEAST amount of strategy is Beatdown. It has evolved over time; from LOB with it's "POWER UP YOUR BEWD NOW." to Pharoah's Servant with "Axe on Harpie's Bro, Summon GAF, attack for 4100" to LOD with Spear and Gemini Elf all the way to now with random 1900s, Berserk Gorilla, GAF, Giant Orc...and no equips.

Yea. You're not using any equip cards. Period. They're slow, and with all the m/t removal, they become useless. Horrible topdeck cards, and they become slow when you'd rather have a Gorilla than a UWS.

Out with Equips. All of them. Except for Snatch Steal and Premature Burial.

Monsters...wow. This deck just uses flat out beatsticks. That's it. Goblin Attack Force, Berserk Gorilla, and Spear Dragon OR Slate Warrior make up your main attack squad. Spear deals that lovely trample damage, but Slate can suicide into a Jinzo and lower it below Gorilla.

Monster removal. And lots of it. Forget about attacking their monsters; just get rid of them and attack directly. You also need magic and trap removal; which is why Jinzo comes in handy. Jinzo negates those annoying Mirror Forces, Rings, Wabokus, and Imperial Orders. Which is why that's the only sacrifice monster you should use in Beatdowns. You can use Blowback Dragon for monster removal or Airknight for some more speed, but IMO both will slow you down a bit.

A good beatdown deck will finish you off fast, unless you can control it. While I don't like them because they require no strategy, they're very powerful decks if used correctly. Watch out for Trample monsters; Spear and GAF both switch to defense position after they attack. Also, you may want to consider Marauding Captain over Slate Warrior. Or at least side deck it. Summon Marauding, Special Summon a Beatstick, and protect Goblin Attck Force.

Beatdown can easily be made expensive or cheap. Berserk Gorilla, Jinzo, Witch and Sangan are already pretty cheap; any cards that have "/" and a different monster means that's the best replacement if you can't afford the first card. If there is no slash, then it either means it's cheap or there's no good replacement.

Monsters - 18(1 Tribute, 17 Non-Sacrifice)

Magic/Spells - 18

Traps - 4
