vgm7777777 has been added to the newly formed Dark Realm on my site!
Now to create darkness elements in my game. I have an idea. I want to create an environment where it only illuminates certain parts of the screen, like in LOZ, Link's Awakening when he's in pitch black areas. Also, there will be torches and such to illuminate the area more. Just need to figure out how to do it.

Well, one way you could do it is to put balck-non-solid objects everywhere you want it to be black, but that would probably be too much trouble. I guess you could always ask at the GM board..

Sonic Heroes progress:
Metal Madness defeated.
I can honestly say that while that was the weakest final boss I've seen in a Sonic Game ('specially for requiring Chaos Emeralds), that that was the coolest final boss I've seen in a Sonic game.
Just need to figure out how to do it.

I think... Well, this might be more the OPPOSITE of what you want to do, but should create almost a similar effect...
Make a non-visible circle object with exact collision detection that is the size of the area that you want the light to be. For its step event, have it Move to a Point, point being "Hero's name here_X", "Hero's name here_Y".
For all the objects you want invisible until it enters collision with the light, make them all invisible from the start. On collision with the circle object, check if the variable "visible" is equal to 0, and if so, set variable "visible" to 1.
Now, in the step event, "If a position is collision free", using the center of the object (Something relative), check if the variable "visible" is equal to 1, and if so, set variable "visible" to 0.
That SHOULD work. I haven't tested it myself, though.
If you want to create a nifty effect for yourself, in the creation event of the circle object, set the variable "image_alpha" to about 0.25, and make the circle object WHITE.

As far as more on Sonic Heroes, I was right. Game Play as Team Chaotix was horrible, but it was the best part of the game.
I spent 1 hour on Mystic Manor.

Yes, Team Chaotix gameplay was kind of slow, but I still thought it was fun. Most of their levels (extra missions, really) took forever to beat, but for some (Seaside Hill extra mission) I still got an A.

Oh, it isn't too complicated. It's just an object that moves to the same point that the hero is at, and when it touches an object, the other objects become seeable.

I came up to my computer, and it was off. No big deal, clocks in my house were flashing, it probably happened a few minutes ago, and I didn't know it. I double-click the internet, and double-click AIM. AIM shows up, but the internet doesn't show up. A little later, the internet does show up, but not at Google (my homepage). Soon, some Casino shows up on my desktop. I delete it, turn off the computer, turn it back on, and soon, it gets back to normal.

I'm curious how you did the lighting effect Oracle. Can I get a copy of your demo?
When I finish up four or five rooms (Stuff that can be used in games), I'll send it. Currently, I'm working on giving the enemy things a sense of randomness in their movements...

I'm making another game in Game Maker. It's not really complex, and might end up as just a mini-game. You control a paddle with the mouse, and use it to bounce a Kirby up to the top. So far there's only one level, which will be impossible to lose, but in later levels, you can't let the Kirby touch the bottom, because of a pit or spikes.

Well, the game's being more advanced than I started it out to be. There will be two characters, Byte and Warp. They both have the same levels, but different styles of gameplay. Byte's gameplay is platforming, and he has to use blocks and the moving platform to get to the top. Byte's is a lot faster, with the bouncing of the walls and platforms. I'd also like to say thanks to OoW, for it was his platform game that he sent me a long time ago, that's where I found how to use the global character variables.

Heh, I guess it's true. Pac-man Vs. really does make people scream at each other when they lose/get something first.
I've got some more stuff in my game. A small cutscene at the beginning, some music (Toxic Caves from Sonic Spinball) another level, and some slanted blocks. I've decided that there will be n-levels in each background, at after each, there will be a short cutscene, a change of music, and a character select.

I won't. I think I almost did, though. I was going to have an upgrade feature with different weapons and things you could use after getting upgrades, but it didn't work out completely. The first upgrade was going to be "Sword Shot", where you shoot out swords, able to do it with both Kirbies. But now I've changed it so only Byte can shoot swords. Ok, here's what I posted along with your site description:
Note to mods: I know it says that there's a Casino place in there, but it really isn't fair to ban me from here without seeing what the Casino is first. It's two boards: Part of his forum, and a dead GameFAQs board. There's no real money involved, it's just for fun. It also can't really be categorized as "Spam" for a few reasons:
1. I'm not repeatedly advertising this.
2. I'm posting this in the correct forum.
3. I'm advertising a web site, which just happens to have a Casino sub-section, so I'm not even directly advertising the Casino.
And I'm saying all of this because I was banned from the ezBoard ZFGC when I posted an ad for the Casino, which TRM called SPAM.
That should be enough reasons for me not to be banned from there.

Oh, and in case you were somewhat confused about my whole teeth thing, it wasn't six extractions, only four. There was the one I first told you about, and then another was scheduled for the next week. It got cancelled because to dentist wouldn't be there, etc. and was delayed until four weeks later from the first pulling.

I've completley changed around my site now. It has a main section, which has nothing yet, a games section, which has the main games I've worked on, including a new game called "Simple". Then, it's got the comics section, with the four comics I've made so far, maybe 5 by tommorrow. Finally, it's got the Casino section, with archived Craps Table posts 1-400, and Keno posts 1-50. After I finish this post, 401-450 posts will be added.
