Ulysses' Solution #6

Ulysses:  Okay, chess players, did you figure out our sneaky skewer?  As I told you last month, strong opponents will see forks and other double attacks when you threaten them directly.  So the trick is to see the possibility before your opponent does and then find a forcing sequence to set it up.

In this position, White uses a forcing sacrifice to set up a nasty fork followed by a killing skewer.  The winning sequence starts with 1.Bxf7+!!, which forces Black to play 1...Kxf7.  White then continues with the really nasty 2.Rxc7+!! when Black has no reasonable alternative to capturing with 2...Qxc7...and then White wins the Black queen with 3.Qh7+.  After 3...Ke8 4.Qxc7 Rxd3, Black has a rook and a bishop for his queen; however, after 5.Qxa7 White should win the ending without serious difficulty.
