PLEASE KEEP CHRIS58 IN YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK WHILE SHE IS IN THE HOSPITAL AND RECOVERING FROM SURGERY -- WE MISS YOU SIS !!!!!

BOL TOURNEYS -- Blast players - We have been invited to play once a week in BOL with FRIENDSHIP. We will need 5 players to play and we would alternate places. Please let chris58 or chicana know asap the the night that would be good for you: Monday or Tuesday? Friendship cannot do Wednesday or Sunday nite.

These matches require at least five members on both ladder teams to play. Players must be a member at both ladders so that we can alternate hosting. If teams are uneven, players will be divided up evenly to give everyone showing up an opportunity to play. Typically, four rounds are played of regular gammon with each win scoring one point for their ladder team. Team with most points at end of four rounds or earlier, is declared BOL winner! Players report their own match losses as in open play and announce in open room. There is no pre-registration, simply show up as soon as you can to (get your team wear av's) and let the ladder host know you want to play .

PAINTERS: IF YOU WOULD - WE NEED 3 AV'S FOR BLAST --1 FEMALE, 1 MALE AND 1 CAT -- THEY CAN BE SENT TO CHICANA OR CHRIS58. BE SURE TO PUT IN SUBJECT LINE (BOL AV'S) AND WE WILL USE THEM. THERE IS NO CONTEST AT THIS TIME -- THANK YOU.

THERE IS A NEW FEATURE AT BLAST HOME PAGE -- YOU CAN LEAVE A MESSAGE THERE IN OPEN ROOM -- PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE POLITE AS WE ARE ON FAMILY SIDE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those that celebrated their birthdays in January and upcoming in February. We hope that you had a great day and many, many more to come.

Editor's Corner
"Are You Blind, Or Do You See?"

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing.

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to her halter is a small bell. It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, The world does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. They watch over us and even bring others into our lives to help us when we are in need. Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.

Good friends are like this ... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there. Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.

NOTE: If you have something you would like to share with us here in the news, please let me know -- Thank you!

FUN TIME

"Swearing"

The little boy was caught swearing by his teacher. "Tyson," she said, "you shouldn't use that kind of language. Where did you hear it?"

"My daddy said it," he responded. "Well, that doesn't matter," she explained, "I don't want to hear that language in here again."

After a moment, she thought she whispered aloud, "At least he doesn't know what it means."

"I do, too," Tyson corrected. "It means the car won't start."
