Xbox Live with 5 unique multiplayer game modes. Connect and battle the
world's best in any of the Career Races or Circuit Races, or use the
Race Editor to create your own track with the fastest and most open
racing ever. Or burn opponents in any of the Battle Modes like Detonator
and Capture the Flag.

 Career
Race:
The pure, refined street racing experience that is Midnight Club 2.
Winning races, earning pink slips, locking upconquered rides and
enjoying the spoils of victory... Except this time, it’s flesh and blood
opponents.
Rest assured, just like you, they’ve all polished their game in single
player mode before taking it to the online streets. Unlock new vehicles
and cities, and connect to prove your worth. Players can use any ordered
or unordered check point race from Career mode.
Circuit Race:
Being first to the finish line once is not enough. Dominate with
endurance over multiple laps through checkpoint racing, being extra
careful avoiding collisions to win the long-haul in one piece. Much like
career racing, you'll learn that vehicle selection, execution of
shortcuts, and all-around honed street racing skill are prerequisites
for any hope of an online victory.
Race Edit:
An all new dynamic added to the Midnight Club experience - the ability
to create a checkpoint race in the city of your choice, entirely to your
tastes. Play-test it out in single-player mode, then take it online
andchallenge friends and foes to the task of conquering you on your own
turf. Pay attention to map details such as topography, nearby shortcuts,
and distance between checkpoints to graft and host a truly original
racing event.
Capture the Flag:
Classic CTF gameplay with a bit of Midnight Club style fuel-injection.
Guaranteed, you've never played Capture the Flag at breakneck speed like
this. Play as a team or every man for himself. Be the first to pick up
the flag then lead-foot it all the way to the finish line. Take the flag
by tagging the racer carrying it. Vehicle choice is key, so balance out
weight, speed, acceleration and turning ability against your own
personal skill to perfect your performance.
 Detonator:
A high speed game of life or death. Race through city streets to obtain
the detonation device before anyone else, then floor it to the closest
trigger checkpoint to blow up all adversaries on the road. When chasing,
destroy the car carrying the detonation device using any and all manner
of destructive power-ups and, of course, good old fashioned combative
driving. Set matches based on detonation limit or time limit; driver or
team with the most detonations wins.
Online Play Specs:
Race with up to 8 players throughout three massive, fully open cities in
one of five online play modes. Select any car or bike that you've
personally unlocked in offline arcade mode. Join a game or host one
yourself. A broadband connection is required for online play - there is
no slow lane on the streets of Midnight Club 2.
Talk trash to your friends via the Xbox Live headset. Let them know
who's the real king of the street.
