>BACK TO THE TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION

GRUNT:
Because Grunts attack in a small "herd", an ideal weapon would be a rifle of some sort. While resting or fleeing, grunts are vulnerable to melee's. Whack them instead so that you can shoot your lead into more important enemies. When you come across the Silver grunts (mainly in the last level but pretty much in levels 7-10) they will carry a fuel rod cannon. This is what hunters use. Shoot them first and stay clear of their bodies because the weapon will explode after they die. Throw plasma grenades on a grunt while its next to its "friends". He sometimes runs into the group (possibly because he wants others to take it off him) and once he does he'll blow up his friends too. This is an easy way of taking out large numbers.

ELITE:
When near death or when it has a grenade glued to its armour, the elite will chase you, filled with rage. Stay clear and just shoot them if this happens. If they don't have a plasma grenade stuck on them its safe to melee them though. Stealth elites tend to be silver ones. These types are easy to kill and are low on Health. Sword elites can kill in a single swing in certain difficulties. Stay clear and shoot them while they chase you. These elites should be your first target. Also note that the plasma sword is not invisible so stealth elites with them should be easy to spot. With elites, don't bother with grenades unless your a pro. They can dodge them quite easily. Their shields make human artillery rather ineffective. Use a plasma rifle to take down their shields or use a charged shot from the plasma pistol. Needlers can also help. After injecting enough needles to blow an elite up he'll go aggro but the needles will explode before he chases you down. It takes entire clips from human weapons to take down an elite so keep a plasma or needle weapon handy incase you're nearly out of human ammo. Needler shots don't lock on the elites so you'll need a good aim or a good judgement if they're moving. When elites are angry a single melee may take them down.

HUNTERS:
They use a "fuel rod cannon" which is similar to a charged plasma pistol shot. Hunters will shoot at long range and when in close range they will try to bump you on your helmet. 2 whacks can kill be warned. Hunters wear high impact armour that cannot be destroyed or even scratch by another weapon. Although, a rocket does the job quite nicley. Hunters travel in pairs so you'll have to outsmart them both! Use a sniper rifle from afar (if they can't see you only) then, zoom in and try you're best to shoot the orange spots that their armour doesn't cover! If you fail or don't have a sniper rifle. Rush in, alert them to your presence and make them chase you. A hunter will rush at you and then swing. When they begin to swing, sidestep (dodge) and then aim a pistol at their back (where the orange spot is). Shoot the orange spot and the hunter will die if you did it correctly, then do the same technique to the corpse's friend. Make sure you kill the smaller covenant first and then deal with the hunters but most of the time, hunters fight alone.

JACKALS:
Jackals carry their shields with them (unless you've blown it apart with a plasma pistol). They shoot through a little semi circle on the right side of their shield. Shoot here with a pistol to take them down from the front. When their shields are gone or when they are running away, they are utterly defense-less. A good way to get them is to melee them, 1-2 melee's should kill them. Their shots are weak but if they hit you with a charged plasma shot your MJOLNIR shield is depleted. This can be a problem if your in the middle ofa battle. Try to avoid the shots but if that doesn't help, you should hide behind a rock until your shields boot up again. Jackals in a large group can be a pain. Throw a Fragmentation grenade in and then sweep the area up after it goes off. Human weaponry (Except the good-old Rocket Launcher) simply deflect off their energy shield. Use plasma weapons to pierce it (if you have time) Also, note that needles also deflect off the shield too.
