Although made by Capcom of Japan, this title was translated and released in the states by Squaresoft. Late in the adventure the main character can transform into various dragons, and combinations of characters can fuse together to make a super fighter. The thing I enjoyed the most I'd have to say is that the enemies have idle/attack/death animation whereas in Final Fantasy they're just still. There's a funny bit in the town of Bleak where you can see Chun-Li doing her Thousand Burst Kick :).

See Chun-Li Go to the magician kid's house in the town of Bleak. He'll ask for 100GP. Say "yes". Then he'll ask you to turn around. Say "no", "no", then "yes". You'll see Chun-Li performing her Thousand Burst Kick.
