Capcom's first Naomi game. A very sharp-looking, solid-playing game. The gimmick here is to collect any 3 of the 5 power stones hidden around the stage while also doing battle. Collecting three stones transforms you into a super fighter for a limited amount of time, in which you can deal out some serious damage. Besides this, you can also pick-up various weapons strewn throughout the arenas as well as get into some melee combat. It's a good concept, but the game system is broken. Any character can jump in the air and perform a drop kick type move. This move homes in on the opponent, and the only way they can avoid contact is if they're already moving, jumping, or doing a weapon attack at just the right moment. When fighting the CPU it's easy to get through the entire game with just the jump kick. Just circle the opponent until they throw out an attack, jump kick, repeat. It's the game's fatal flaw and was wisely removed from the sequel. This game was also suposed to have a 4 player feature, but due to time constraints it wasn't possible to get working in time. This lost feature was used in the sequel.
