Toronto Maple Leafs
MY 3 STARS

#31 - Curtis Joseph
Curtis Joseph 'Cujo' is by far the best player on the Leafs. Game after game he is often the one who saves the team from certain defeat. I am very sad that he has now signed with a team I dislike - Detroit.

#7 - Gary Roberts
Gary Roberts When Captain Mats Sundin was injured early in the playoffs, Roberts stepped in as a fearless leader who gave the Leafs grit thoughout Rounds 1&2.

#16 - Darcy Tucker
Darcy Tucker A personal favourite, Tucker is an intense player who really adds to the game. He was especially fun to watch during the rough first round against the New York Islanders.

A Breif History PlayersPlayers Coaching & ManagementCoaching & Management
The Toronto Maple Leafs, an "Original Six" team, are one of the NHL's most popular teams, and very likely the most popular team in Canada. They have had many players of great skill and fame, including Johnny Bower, Darryl Sittler, and the well-known Tim Horton. The club was one of the first four teams to make up the NHL, all teams being from Canada. At the time, they were called the Toronto Arenas. The club went by this name for the 1917-18 and 1918-19 seasons, and then changed their name to the Toronto St. Patricks. They again changed their name for the 1926-27 season, finally becoming the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Maple Leafs have won 13 Stanley Cups, one as the Arenas in 1918, one as the St. Pats in 1922, and the reast as the Leafs in `32, `42, `45, `47-`49, `51, `62-`64, and `67. They have been Stanley Cup runners-up on 8 other occasions. They have been points leaders 8 times, including 4 Canadian Division titles and 1 Northeast Division title.
