Here we have the Nov. 2000 Vol. 8 demo disc. It has a good amount of games and a with majority of them ranging from descent to very good. Now let's see what they are.
Jet Grind Radio
One of the fun games on the disc, the main objective in the demo is to spraypaint anything with an arrow. You start the demo off with a little tutorial that'll help you out with the controls, then after you pick one of three characters ( Beat, Gum and Slate ) your off to the first stage. But before you can start spraying away, you have to pick up some spray cans scattered around the stage ( Shibuya-cho #1 ). It starts off normal as traffic and pedestrians go by, but after a couple of spray jobs the police start to come by to try and stop you. And if you spray even more, the captain will eventually show up ( you can spray him too if your good ). It also has a real nice soundtrack too, it's a good demo that demonstrates what the game is all about.
Demo Rating - 8/10
Ecco: Defender of The Future
Ecco is back in an all new adventure ( ugh...that sounded lame )! Since your in an all new 3D environment this time, the controls will take a while to get used to. Luckily there's a tutorial at the beginning to help you out, but even that will confuse you a little. You start out in the Aquamarine Bay and your main goal is to save a baby whale. This game has impressive looking graphics and neat looking effects that make the underwater ocean life look great. If you have the patience to learn the controls then you'll have a good time with this demo.

Demolition Racer: No Exit
Un doubtfully the best game on the disc, you'll be playing this demo alot. In this racing game, you race up to 16 other cars as you try to gain as much points by crashing into your opponents and still try to make it to 1st place. You can attempt to destroy your opponents any way you can, side, back, front or an instant kill from above. Even with only 3 laps to play with, you'll be playing this great mindless racing game for hours ( well maybe not hours....more like 50 minutes ).
Demo Rating - 10/10
Gauntlet Legends
Not my most favorite on the disc but it's still okay. Anyone whose played a Gauntlet game knows what they're in for, you must fight off an army of enemies while trying to get to the exit. You can choose up to 8 different character classes and 2 stages ( Dagger Peak and Dungeon of Torment ). It's basically non stop action throughout as hoards of enemies just keep coming out of every corner of your screen, and the only way to stop the madness is to destroy the caves they're coming out of. If you can deal with this type of action then you probably enjoy this game.
Demo Rating - 6/10
Hoyle Casino
Once you pick your character and the money he/she has, then it's off to the casino. The only games you'll be playing are either blackjack or slots, and if you like those then you'll probably be playing this demo for a while, if you don't bet alot of money that is.
Demo Rating - 6/10
There's also a Shenmue movie and a Web Browser 2.0 with SegaNet, and the Shenmue movie does a good job of showing off the features of the game. Overall it's a good demo disc with nice demos which you'll have a good time playing while it lasts.
