sega have said that the year 2003 will be greatly emphisiased on sonic the hedgehog! paticularly in the U.S and europe. they have said that with the new sonic X animated series they hope to make sonic as big as pokemon was, and yes they have also mentioned that sonic X will air in the U.S and europe late fall (autumn)! plus over the year and hopefully the next few years lots of sonic merchandise shall be released includeing plushes action figures and dvds. also there will be at least 4 new sonic video games to be coming out in japan and 5 over here! where the trend has always been more popular. yugi naka has said this is the dream coming true and this year sonic will be highly focused on by the sega team mainly focused around the tv series. as its so highly focused on the tv program perhaps that means chris and danny will be making apperances in future video games. and as i already mentioned theres 5 more to come this year, (not sure if sonic advance 2 is included in that list as it was released before this statement was made) eithier way were guarenteed a great year in sonic including the animie, 5 new video games (includeing dx and pinball) and truck loads of merchandise.
