Genre: Adventure

Developer: Nintendo

ESRB Rating:

G-g-g-g-ghost! In Luigi's Mansion the plumbing sidekick (and brother) of the famous Mario sets out on his own adventure, but wouldn't ya know, it's not the Princess who needs rescuing... it's Mario! In this game, Luigi finds himself as the owner of a big creepy mansion after winning a contest he never entered (I think he would consider that suspicious). While looking for Mario, Luigi discovers the mansion is inhabited by ghosts. Fortunately, Professor E. Gadd, a very strange scientist, rescues Luigi. He then equips him with the Poltergiest 3000, a ghost trapping vacuum. It's now Luigi's job to set out to find Mario and capture the ghosts.

Why this is one of my favorites:
Luigi's Mansion is one of those fun games that get hooked so you can't stop playing. Even if it's dinner you inhale your food to return to the adventure. That makes the game so much fun, and as you progress, you real feel like you've accomplished something. The concept my seem childish, but the game is quite entertaining. What's nice is the game is not all about capturing ghosts, there are also puzzels to solve along the way which adds to the fun. However, I must say this game lacks replay value. It may seem boring after you beat it even once. Though, it's one of those games where after you beat it you set it aside, but later return to it. The kind of "Hey, I haven't played this in a while." games, so then you can experience the fun all over again. But if you're not into that sort of thing, rent it or borrow it from someone because you're sure to have a blast.
