James Bond
Agent Under Fire
By: Fuxer

Release Date :

   Febuary 19, 2002
Developer :    EA
Publisher :    EA
Rated :    T
Genre :    Shooter
Players :    1-4

Plot :

Your names is James Bond (obviously) and you’ve been assigned to investigate a corporation called Malpreve industries and it’s subsidiary Identicon. One of the worlds largest corporations involved in oil and shipping.I'm not going to spoil the plot for those of you how haven’t played yet but let’s just say it involves a hole lot of cloning and a few twists along the way.I found the games plot to be very interesting with twists at every corner.

Game play :

The game play in Agent under fire has changed quite a bit from it’s earlier title, Golden eye.IMO it’s much more like Metal Gear Solid then anything else because in Agent Under Fire you’ll find yourself avoiding a head on confrontation with the enemy. Opting instead to sneak around and pick of the enemy one by one. This is mostly because of the improved enemy performance and wide variety of gadgets provided. Personally i liked this as it mad the game challenging even on Normal (agent) setting.Also,the Car driving makes this game very different from the other 007 games.

Controls :

A= Action
B= use gadjet
L= Aim
R= Shoot
X= jump(yes Bond can finally jump!!!)
y= crouch
Z= alternate fire
D-Pad/Control Pad= Move Bond
C Pad= strife left or right
Start= Pause

Graphics :

The graphics in Agent Under Fire are excellent. Though this game still has a few minor problems like the fact that shooting a wine bottle will sometimes not shatter the bottle and shooting a wooden box will not break the box. Things like reflectivity of metal surfaces, the fact the bullets had trailers, the fact that the shooting a box produces splinters to fly off in all directions, that glass will now show crakes running throught it instead of just holes when you shoot it and shadows coming in from a window will look different from a different angle all added up to what I think are some of or the best graphics i've seen on the Cube.
