The Legend of Zelda

Zelda is one of the most popualar games ever. There has been 2 NES games, 4 Game Boy games, 1 SNES game, and 2 Great 64 games. When Nintendo announced there new system, Gamecube, rumors started to pop up everywhere that their was going to be a Zelda game for Game Cube. At Spaceworld 2000 Nintendo release a clip of Link fighting Ganondorf with some off the best graphics ever made.

But they never officialy said that there was going to be a Zelda game for Gamecube. Well at E3 2001 everyone was blown out of there seats when Nintendo showed there newest clip of Zelda. It didn't look like anything from there first clip. It look like like a cartoon.


People didn't know what to think. Were these graphics good or bad? Well not many Zelda fans were happy when they first saw these graphics. But I think that there are some good things about the graphics.

Now look at this pic here. Look at the shading on Link and he has a shadow. They couldn't put a shadow on him before. Since it looks like a cartoon there can add more detail. The new type of cartoon graphics are called cel-shading. With these cel-shading graphics Nintendo won't use up that much space on the cd so they will have more space to make a longer game.  Cel Damage is cel-shading and every one loves that game.

Not much is known about the plot or the real name of the new Zelda game. All that I know is that you play as young Link and The bad guy is Ganondorf. The game will be released in Nov 2002 in Japan and there is no North Amarican date yet. But my guess is that it will come out before Chrismas of 2002. 

This is not gonna be the only Zelda game for Gamecube. Since that there was so many complates about the graphics on this game that Nintendo Is gonna make an other Zelda game with the good graphics you seen at the top of the page.
