BFG BY PBEM
This has been a major project of mine for over 18 months now. It is ready for use but the game box is constantly being updated .. To date it covers the Empire , the Space Marines and the forces of chaos except the BBs and the planet killer.
I have had various enquiries as to
what exactly the program does.. First let me say it has nothing to do with interactive
computing or hexes...?=0). In brief the cyberboard gamebox is a virtual reproduction of a
games table on the computer screen. The utility used to achieve this is called cyberboard.
IT IS NOT a computer game.. All cyberboard does is remember how you manually move the
images, the messages you send and the order you do it in. If you tell it too , it will
also roll the dice for you and record the results for your opponent to see in the replay.
If you think of the screen as a table top and the images as models then everything you do
on the table has to be done on the screen and measurements are just that made with virtual
rulers. I have attached a screen shot of a game in progress . The grids on the board are
not really necessary. They do however cut down the amount of measuring you need to do as
each square is 1 cm.
A few brave souls have formed a separate
newsgroup to develop the game further called . distant guns. I suggest you apply to join
and I will confirm your subscription then you can decide if you are interested or not..
