Ice Board        Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party 3 are all family-oriented games.

In Mario Party, you control a popular Nintendo character such as Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong.  You roll dice to see who goes first, and then the game begins.  You travel around the giant board landing on the different spaces, with different effects.  After all four players have had a turn, mini-games are started.Pizza

Mini-games

There are five types of mini-games:

Item - One player tries to nab a special item

Battle - Four players compete against each other and the top one/two players get the others coins.

1 vs. 3 - One player competes against the three others to try to nab the most coins.

2 vs. 2 - In a race against time, it is two on two teams to try and win the most coins.

4-player - It's every man for himself in these games.  The winner usually gets 10 coins.

Boards                                                        Desert Board

The players move around on giant boards, just like an old-fashioned game like Clue, Monopoly, or Sorry.   When it is your turn, you just press a button to roll the die.  You travel in that amount of spaces, and actions are triggered when you pass certain spots on the board and/or when you land on them.  Actions include boulders rolling to knock anyone in their way back to start, and giant fish sucking you up and transporting you to another part of the board.  On every board there is a character named Toad, who, when paid 20 coins, gives you a star.  Stars are used to determine the winner at the end of the game.  Also on every board is a giant ghost named Boo.  Boo steals coins and stars from the player of your choice, but only for a price.

You Win!

The winner is the player with the most coins and stars at the end of the game.

Grab some chips, the beverage of your choice, and bring your friends.  This is one party you don't want to miss.
