  The Gameplay:
An excellent game for Sonic fans of all ages. Sonic Jam is well... jam packed with Sonic goodness. It features Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles just as they were with extras.

Each game has new features, like the save mode, 'Easy', 'Normal' and 'Original'. 'Easy' being easy with lots of obstacles taken out and only one act to a stage. 'Normal' has fewer bosses and some obstacles taken. Original is just as it was when it first came out. Other new features are the full game manuals of USA and Japan versions to view, an option to turn off the timer, special stages to select, time attack for any level after you finish it, Sonic & Knuckles lock-on abilities, and Spin Dash for Sonic 1 which can be turned on or off.

The biggest addition to Sonic Jam is the Sonic World, which is a 3D museum with history on Sonic, Music, artwork, character profiles and more. The museum is in Mario 64 type 3D with Sonic at control to run around the museum, you can even catch a ride by Tails as he flies by. There's also World Missions, a small game with a few missions, after you finish each one, which go from collecting all rings or finding code boxes, then you'll unlock new camera angle and a giant ring to view the Credits.

The biggest part of the Museum is the 5 buildings to visit - these buildings are as follows.

Art Gallery: Collection of Sonic artwork.
Character House: Has profiles and artwork of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik and friends.
Hall of Fame: A timeline featuring important events in Sonic history from April 1990 to February 14, 1997.
Movie Theater: Collection of Cinemas.
Music Shop: Music from Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic Jam.

  Game.com Version

Sonic Jam on Game.com version isn't as good as the Saturn version, it has all the side scrolling levels from Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic & Knuckles. The game was black and white though, which wasn't the best feature.
