Vivi is a 9-year-old Black Mage that wonders into Alexandria to see the play at the beginning of the game. Although he's only 9-years-old, his grandfather's death has forced him to grow up and fend for himself. He's the only character in the game that can learn the really effective offensive magic, and when he and Steiner are in the party at the same time, he can team up with Steiner to create a Magic Sword attack. Vivi is also very important to the storyline, as he is trying to figure out who he is and why he exist's in the first place.
