 Name: Squall Leonhart Age: 17 Height: 5'8" Date of Birth: August 23 Blood Type: AB Weapon: Gunblade Special Skill: Renzokuken Love Interest: Squall's got the "I like you, but can't tell you that I do" thing going on with Rinoa. At least until the third disk, when their love becomes apparent. Favorite Squall Moment: When Squall storms the Sorceress Memorial and saves Rinoa from being frozen. The FMV that follows makes me tingly all over. *shudders* Personal Squall Opinion: From my experience on web forums it seems that not many people like Mr. Squall Leonhart. I, on the other hand, liked him from the beginning of the game. So he was silent and cold, who cares? He was a strong fighter and was only cold and silent because he felt that he had to take care of himself and didn't want to be bothered by other people's problems. But by the end of the game, his character had developed into a caring person that was well-recepted by his friends. I think that kind of change is wonderful and I say "Go Squall!" |
 Name: Rinoa Heartilly Age: 17 Height: 5'3(and a half)" Date of Birth: March 3 Blood Type: Unknown Weapon: Blaster Edge Special Skill: Combine(Angelo), Angel Wing. Love Interest: At the beginning of the game Rinoa is still 'with' Seifer, but they sever ties when he tries to sacrafice her to Adel(well, they sever before that, but that cuts everything. lol) Rinoa seems to love Squall from the time she meets him(though she's still involved with Seifer). It's plain to see, from that first dance, that Squall and Rinoa are meant for one another. Favorite Rinoa Moment: When Rinoa inherits her sorceress powers and scares the bejeezes out of everyone on the planet. 2.) I liked her in the ending too, but I won't give away TOO much about that. Personal Rinoa Opinion: I always liked Rinoa. I like how spontaneous she can be. Especially when her, Watts, and Zone plop down on the floor to "discuss strategy". She's quick on her feet and a well-balanced fighter. Plus her Special Skill, Wishing Star, can hit multiple times. |
 Name: Seifer AlmasyAge: 18 Height: 6'2" Date of Birth: December 22 Blood Type: O Weapon: Gunblade Special Skill: Fire Cross Love Interest: Seifer has the "hot's" for Rinoa before he falls under Sorceress Edea/Ultimecia's control. Other than that, there's nothing. Favorite Seifer Moment: I love the scene in the car, on the way to Balamb for the Seed field exam. "Chicken Wuss!" 'nuff said. Personal Seifer Opinion: I never really got to like Seifer because of his cocky attitude and the way he mad fun of Zell (I love Zell...). He wasn't really even that strong in battle, so I basically thought of him as useless. That's only my opinion though... |
 Name: Quistis Trepe Height: 5'6" Date of Birth: October 4 Blood Type: A Weapon: Whip, Chain Whip Special Skill: Blue Magic Love Interest: It seems that Quistis has a 'thing' for Squall, but we later find out that this is more of a brother/sister relationship than anything else. Other than that, Quistis has no real 'love interest'. Favorite Quistis Moment: One of the best scenes from the entire game, The Dollet Escape Scene. Quistis with that machine gun, emmm she rocks! Personal Quistis Opinion: Quistis(along with Zell) is one of my two favorite characters. I don't really know why, she just seems to have it all, she can fight, has good magic skills, and has a kick-ass limit("special skill"). The only thing I can complain about is that she doesn't have a limit that hit's multiple times. |
 Name: Zell DinchtAge: 17 Height: 5'5' Date of Birth: March 17 Blood Type: B Weapon: Glove, Fists Special Skill: Duel Love Interest: It seems that Zell has a little thing for the pigtails girl from the library. Not a big thing during the game though. Favorite Zell Moment: The entire game with Zell is great. He brings humor to almost all situations. Personal Zell Opinion: Zell is probably my all-time favorite Final Fantasy VIII character. He's funny(though sometimes a bit slow on the uptake)and almost always being sarcastic. I probably like him so much because that's the kind of person I am. Plus his limit hits tons of times(depending on your speed and the amount of time you have...) and does lot's of damage. |
 Name: Selphie TilmittAge: 17 Height: 5'1(and a half)" Date of Birth: July 16 Blood Type: B Weapon: Nunchaku Special Skill: Slot Love Interest: Selphie is, by the end of the game, in a relationship with Irvine. Though very reluctant at first, Selphie begins having feelings of love on a train, which Squall mistakes for the 'pre-mission jitters'. Favorite Selphie Moment: My favorite scene with Selphie is when she flies the Ragnarok straight into the Lunatic Pandora. Giant dragon-airship...'nuff said. Personal Selphie Opinion: To me, Selphie has the 'cute, innocent' look going for her. She's carefree and lives life to the fullest. Though not the strongest fighter, her limit can be very useful in times of need. |
 Name: Irvine KinneasAge: 17 Height: 6'0" Date of Birth: November 24 Blood Type: A Weapon: Gun Special Skill: Shot Love Interest: Irvine is infatuated with almost any woman he meets. He flirts with each of the girls in the party before deciding on Selphie. But once he's with her, he's with her. Favorite Irvine Moment: My favorite Irvine moment is his lapse of courage and faith in his abilities on the assassination mission. I think it brings truth to this character and shows that everybody, no matter who they are, has weakness'. Personal Irvine Opinion: I enjoyed Irvine's character. He was funny yet knew when to be serious. |
 Name: Laguna LoireAge: 27 in the flashbacks. Around 45 when you meet him as President of Esthar. Height: 5'9" Date of Birth: January 3 Blood Type: B Weapon: Machine Gun Special Skill: Desperado Love Interest: Laguna has a few 'loves' durning the game. The first being a piano player/singer at the Galbadia Hotel named Julie(she is Rinoa's mother). He falls in love and then is called away on a mission. Julia is heart-broken and goes to General Caraway for comfort. They fall in love and *poof* Rinoa is born. Next, Laguna meets Raine. She nurses him back to health after he falls from a cliff and washes ashore near Winhill. He falls in love and finds excuses to stay in Winhill. When he leaves to find Ellone(who has been kidnapped), Raine births her and Laguna's child, Squall. Favorite Laguna Moment: HMMMM...Favorite Laguna moment. I liked him in the ending, in the flashback between him and Raine. Makes a person tingle seeing the love they share. Personal Laguna Opinion: I was fond of Laguna during the game. I don't think he got enough game-time, but I still liked him. He was serious, but knew how and when to be funny. He had a gigantic heart and is a very caring person. |
 Name: Kiros SeagillAge: 23 in the flashbacks. Around 41 when you meet him in Esthar. Height: 6'4" Date of Birth: July 6 Blood Type: O Weapon: Katal Special Skill: Blood Pain Love Interest: No love interest is mentioned in the game for Kiros. Poor him! :( Favorite Kiros Moment: I like Kiros through the whole Lunatic Pandora flashback. I dunno why, but he was splendiferous then. And reall, I'm not on drugs! Personal Kiros Opinion: Look at his weapon. It has to be one of the coolest weapons I've seen. Ok, not the coolest, but if you think about how much practice would have to go into learning to use those things, it's amazing!. |
 Name: Ward ZabacAge: 25 in the flashbacks. Around 43 when you meet him as President of Esthar. Height: 7'0" Date of Birth: February 25 Blood Type: A Weapon: Harpoon Special Skill: Massive Anchor Love Interest: Ward too has no real love life during the game... Favorite Ward Moment: The entire time that he can speak. I didn't realy enjoy him when he lost his voice because he wasn't speaking.(yea, I know your saying "DUH". hehe) Personal Ward Opinion: Ward was amazing during the beginning of the game. His harpoon did awesome damage, and he just looked cool! |
