Golf and beer go together. Although most poeple wait until after a round of golf before enjoying a beer (or beers), some poeple enjoy their beer while golfing.
Beer Golf is a handicapping rule which allows players to improve their scores. The rule is simple: for every beer drank during a game, that player is allowed to remove one stroke from his score - no other handicap is usually permitted.
As the game, and the beer drinking progress ones golf abilities decline, necessitating more beer drinking. Thus most beer-golfers only play nine holes - or less - as even the pros would have a hard time lasting the full 18.
Beer-golfers should not play the same course twice, as groundskeepers take a dim view of that many empties littering the fairway.
