*Sigh* Hi. Posty Jr. here. I appreciate your reading what I have to say. Thanks for coming.
As you know, today, September 11, 2001, several American icons were destroyed, citizens were killed, and a country saw the worst attack in it's history (not just recent history -- worse than Pearl Harbor-type history). I'm not really much of a person, but I just needed a place to rant out my feelings.
I'm not really quite sure why exactly I feel so shattered by this, other than the fact that there was so much death. I don't know any1 in NY, I don't care about money (so who cares about the depression that may very well come on [I just heard on the news that gas prices jumped up by 2-3 bucks a gallon]). I don't know more than you, nor less. I just now that a great tragedy has happened. This isn't just a tragedy of America, though. This is a tragedy of the entire Earth. This is darkest hour the human spirit.
Why, though, is it that America only plans to retaliate? I fully believe that the people who are responsible for this do need to be punished, don't get me wrong. But in my opinion, this looked like something much more than just a few guys planning for an hour or 2 with a bottle of beer. If it was a governmental act, and we do fight back (which we will), that will only begin another round of hatred. A war. Why can't we just punish the one party responsible for this, then let it go? Let the deceased rest in their graves, not toss and turn because their deaths were in vain.
Their deaths will be in vain if we let this result in more hate. This sort of thing should teach us, as humans, as a nation, as a planet, that life is the most precious thing in existence. It shouldn't be taken for granted, nor should it be abused.
I noticed one good thing coming out of this, however. This was the first time I can remember since the Oklahoma City Bombing back several years ago that I'm seeing our nation actually move as a nation. Now we're not Mexicans, Blacks, Whites, Asians, no. We're American Citizens. We're protecting and fighting for each other, and no boundaries are set for that right now.
Although that's only temporary. Until all this has passed. Then, the boundaries will somehow revive and hate will continue to reign. So why does it have to take over? Why can't we learn from this and just let all the hatred go?
If this keeps up, we're gonna end up in WWIII. If that happens, we'll be seriously screwed. This time, there's such things as "nuclear missiles" and they carry a little something called "radiation." It's something that doesn't exactly go away in the blink of an eye. It can destroy a planet. You don't wanna taste it.
My point, readers (all 3 of you), is that hatred is about to engulf our world. It's everywhere. TV, current events, video games (yes, I said it), everywhere. If we don't do something about it, then we're gonna be in trouble, not as people, not as a nation, but a planet. Then, and probably only then, it won't be me vs. you, or you vs. me. It'll be us vs. annihilation. And I'm not really looking forward to that.
Thank you for your time.
