August 2001

08/31/01 12:38 AM: Nothing really DDR-Related going on, but news. The GIA is dead...sort of. One of the best internet game news sites (in my opinion) has had server problems and was considering throwing in the towel. How can you help? Support them. Go see their site, donate a buck or 2. I visit The GIA daily. Help them as much as possible.
In other news, construction for the bumper cars has begun @ PPP. Interesting, no? They're supposed to be done around Mid-September. That means the arcade and entire restaurant will be changed, as well. Let's hope it gets only better.
Not much else to say. Over, and out.

08/28/01 11:38 PM: Okay, I went and investigated that lead about DDR and all that. My other friend confirmed that Tinseltown DID indeed get rid of USA, and currently doesn't have the new machine. However, I checked out the mall, and they don't have the USA machine either...so now I'm tryin to figure out, "Where did it go?"
In other non-related news, Adult Swim starts on Cartoon Network on Sunday (Adult Swim's official site). For those who don't know, this is the new Toonami block featuring more mature-shows on Cartoon Network. Sweetness. Plus a special edition Toonami hour on friday night, entitled, "Toonami Midnight Run Special Edition". Original, huh? It's an hour of animated music videos. I've seen most that will show, and let me just say, they kick @$$. Be sure to watch.
In one more piece of news, I figured out why the movies don't work on some pages. It has to do with the settings in your computer and stuff. Basicly the only thing I can tell you is, if it doesn't work, and you MUST watch, just screw around with the prefrences. Good luck.

08/27/01 6:51 PM: Big news...HUGE news, actually. According to David, Tinseltown has GOTTEN RID OF DDR USA! That's good though...why, you ask? DRUMMANIA is taking it's place! Yes, that's right, a DIFFERENT Bemani game! We now have TWO bemani games in Corpus! According to David, they moved the DDR USA machine to the Mall! I'll find out later, but if this is true, count on a new addition to the locations, as well as more coverage! Stay Tuned!
08/27/01 5:31 PM: Oh my gosh...an update...! Even more than that, a BIG update! I finally got something that I can post as a movie. Yes, it's tiny, I know, please don't complain. I plan to get some more video this weekend (the ol' gang is gettin together and gonna put on a show @ PPP Saturday, time to make plans to get off work to see some ol' fashion booty kickin). Just please work with the one video right now. It's just for a while. I don't have a new POTW because...well....what's the best way to put this...I lost my disk that HAD the new photo. Too bad too..It was right after Anna had beaten me with her chankla (that's shoe, to those of you who don't know Spanish). I probably misspelled chankla, but you get the idea. Anyways, lots of new photos. And a new poll. The results of the last one: I'm not sure how it's gonna work, but we decided that my site will NOT take any profits to help it any in the tournament. That said, I'm not sure if there will be an entry fee, but if there is, I don't know what it'll be and it'll probably be towards PPP. I'll have to work out the details with the manager. You'll all be the first to hear about it. Enjoy the new photos!

08/15/01 6:45 PM: Yes, I know, I haven't updated in a few days. Forgive my tardiness, please. I finally put up the Photo of the Week [POTW] section. I hope yall enjoy that. I'm working on geting my friends to write those columns. I'm also tryin to figure out some really good places to get videos (Corpus isn't exactly "all that plus a bag" if ya get my drift...) Also updated the profiles a tad bit.

08/12/01 1:50 PM: Woo, good news. I talked to the general manager of Peter Piper Pizza and he said we CAN host our own tournament using the 3rd mix machine. All we have to really do now is set a time/date, and entry fee. Only about 3 people voted for it to be $10 and half of it go to my site [and sadly enough, I was one of the 3...^^;;;] so I'll try and see about it being $5 and it all go to the prize. Although, at this point, I can't make any guarantees. He didn't really talk to me about the deal he wanted to make. So he might end up charging us by the number of players who enter, to use the machine. I'll be sure to post all that information here whenever I find out.

08/11/01 4:57 PM: Okay, so this could almost be considered the same update as the one below. Ah, but, it deserves it's own update all together. The box art for the American Dance Dance Revolution Disney's Rave has been released! Click Here to view said artwork. The game was original in development plans but no official artwork had been released until lately. I'm not sure when they put this out, but it's considerably new [I went a few weeks ago and it says "Photo coming soon"]. For the whole story, go to The GIA's story. Thanks to the GIA for the news [yes, I know, it's old, but what can I say, my site wasn't around whenever they announced it, and I thought cover art was a good enough reason to put this on the site]. The game is tentatively scheduled to be shipped September 17, 2001. Details about the special edition pad to be released are still unknown.
08/11/01 4:40 PM: Well, Prey's back on her way to Taiwan. We here @ DDRCC.NET wish her and her family the best. Not really much goin on around here. Just preparing for those new sections I told you about. I better get cracking on my weekly column. No new news about DDRMAX. You're about as clueless as I am [unless you read Japanese, that is]. Myself and the rest of the CC region of the team will be down @ PPP tonight if anybody cares to come watch us, have some fun, and eat some pizza. We're always ready to teach newbies how to play [that is, if you catch us on a good night and don't talk trash to us]. Mwahaha. Adios.
08/11/01 12:47 AM: In headline news, Prey's leaving to Taiwan tomorrow [or today, if that's the thing you say]. She'll be representing our ghetto team up there. We all wish her a safe and happy trip.
In other news, yesterday [08/10/01] was officially the best day we've had since officially opening our site. We received more than 50 hits, our previous record. Thanks for coming, we appreciate your business and time.
I've decided that [I probably need this more than you do] I'm going to start writing weekly columns about this, that, or the other. Just life in general. No, it's not related to DDR, but it could help me vent and it could give you a good laugh or two at my expense. ^^;; I'm so used to writing because last year I was a writer on the King Hoofbeat [and boy did I hate it]. So, it's more just to keep me going. I'll try and have a new column up every Monday.
Also starting on Monday I've decided to premier my new joke-type-thingaroo. The Photo of The Week. Each week, I'll take a new photo of something that's either super cool or just plain funny (or as funny as I think, anywas). Just somethin to keep yall commin' back. Thank you very much for your time. Oh, and lastly, I made it easier *yet again* for you to find the news you're looking for. All news dates are now in bold.

08/10/01 12:54 AM: If this page looks any different, it should. I fixed it so newer news is up on top. Making it easier on you, the audience. I hope you checked out that page. Really cool, huh?

08/09/01 6:35 PM: And now, for some news Bemani-Related. I'm not sure how old this is but I just got word of it from my associates @ the GameGO! Message board (get to it in the links section). New DDR Coming soon [it doesn't have a date, and I can't read Japanese, so cut slack here]. http://www.konami.co.jp/am/AM/ddrmax_ad/index.html DDRMax -- 6th Mix for those of you who don't know what that means -- Coming Soon!
08/09/01 1:31 AM: I'm doin good, here, people. Added a few more photos, I decided it would be a good idea if I put the date the photos were posted [for form's sake], plus I'm also working on lots of ways to promote the site. Pardon the link exchange banners all over the place, but I'm poor. I can't exactly AFFORD banners to be put up, so I'm exchanging. Sounds like a plan, right? Oh, and we broke 200. I appreciate it. [>.>;;; The other sites closed down around 120 or so...but that's another story for another day]. The site's really commin together. Just keep visiting daily! And don't worry, I'll come up with some way to make it worth your while.

08/08/01 12:48 PM: Working on getting some contests put together and stuff so you all have a worthwhile visit to my site. Still have a few kinks to work out.

08/06/01 11:17 PM: Been busy all day, added a "link to us" section if you have a page and actually *think* this site's good enough to be there. I'm workin on lining up a few spectacular players to write a column about tips for beginners. Adios.
08/06/01 3:27 AM: Added the Secrets section, working on the "Tips From The Pros" Section (First I have to find some "pros"...>.>;;;*Runs off to find Freddie*).

08/05/01 11:53 PM: Put up the rest of the photos (we're goofy, ain't we?) and I'm working on a Tips and Secrets section for those of you who don't know how to open up "doubles" or just need some good old-fashion help. They oughta be done tomorrow. As for now, I think I'll call it quits. See ya tomorrow (or possibly later, if I get bored).
08/05/01 10:51 PM: Added the rest of the profiles (Abe, Big Chris, David, and Prey) and about to put in some more photos. Hope ya like 'em.
08/05/01 4:13 AM: Added Sister A and BBH's profiles, officially put profiles up, added the photos section plus 3 photos (some are a little weird, but bare with us, we're freak). Got more ideas for sections, but I'll leave that for tomorrow. Also have 4 more profiles to add tomorrow, I'm tired, going to sleep, goodnight.

08/04/01 1:32 PM: Locations has been put up, tryin to put together Profiles but it's gonna take a bit long. I'll post the page whenever I have at LEAST 3 players in it (I'm all that's there right now).
