Move 360:  Cutting Up A Roper

Smooth Caverns--Midday, Day 37 (Marpenoth 20)

Renn cast another healing spell on Jana before the woman started chopping open the dead roper. It had about a pound of platinum coins and some gems in its gullet, among the grizzly bits. The caverns were quiet for now, as well as rather well lit from the light stones scattered down the right hand tunnel.

Blacky kneeled, distraught, amoung the pieces of his ruined axe. "I don't suppose anyone can fix this? " He asked hopelessly and gthered the pieces into his pack. "Didn't the gnome lady say that the ropers can only use that snare thing so many times. That's probably why the other one retreated, it was out of 'ammo'. Let's go get it." Blacky finished, hefting his two handed sword.

"Okay," Echo replied. The bag disappeared from Jana's hand when she took it.

"Renn made all the wood for the shields," Echo said.  "Maybe he can make a new handle."

"Not one that would last," Renn replied. "Though perhaps Aloysius has some magic which could help," he said from behind Azrun.

"I have a spell that might fix it," Echo said. "I'm not sure if it will. I can try after we get done with this."

"If we're going after the roper now, I'll be in the back again," she added. "We should probably hurry.  Like Jana said, that one knows we're here."

"I'm ready, and I'll go ahead when everyone's ready as well," Renn said quickly. "I'll try to let you know of anything important."

"I'm ready," Jana confirmed.

Azrun checked himself over looking at his bow and the quiver of arrows, making sure everything was ok. "I guess I'm as ready as I'm going to get."
