What's a MUD?

The word MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon. A MUD is a text-based game. Sounds boring? Well, in reality they are not very fun to watch, but if you are the type of person who likes role-playing games, I definitely recommend these games. All MUDs are online games where you interact with other players all over the world. In order to be able to play a MUD, you have to download a program called a MUD client. These programs are relatively small, and they take only minutes to download. Once you've downloaded the client, load it up, and then enter the address of the game that you want to play. If you have a windows computer, then you probably already have a MUD client installed. Just search for "Telnet" on your computer and load it up. One of the most famous MUDs is called "Vampire Wars". Over 5,000 people play this game, and you can find out more at their website, http://www.vampire-wars.com. The address that you need to enter in the MUD client to play vampire wars is: bb13.betterbox.net:6666. Once you enter this in, a window opens and the game starts... Have fun! Coming Eventually.... the address for the new game, "Forever Night"
