Guybrush Threepwood
Guybrush has been sailing around the Caribbean looking for treasure and bragging about LeChuck's demise. In particular, he's searching for the legendary treasure Big Whoop, which opens the door to a world free of all evils. While bragging to Largo, he inadvertently causes LeChuck's reincarnation. Now, Guybrush must find Big Whoop before LeChuck does, so he can escape his grasp forever.
Governor Elaine Marley
The Governor of the tri-island area of Melee, Booty, and Plunder, and the grandaughter of Captain Marley. She has left Guybrush, but ends up being tracked down anyway.
The Ghost Pirate LeChuck
Now partially-decomposed, the reincarnated LeChuck is out for revenge. He will sail to the ends of the earth to rid the Caribbean of Guybrush.
Largo Lagrande
A bully who has full authority over the island, since everyone's scared of him. Everyone wants to do away with him, but nobody has the guts (or common sense) to do anything about it.
The Voodoo Lady
Now practising voodoo full-time, she gives Guybrush instructions on making voodoo dolls and finding Big Whoop.
Wally
A cartographer, with a slight vision handicap that might be of some use to a adventurous pirate like yourself.
Cap'n Kate Capsize
An entrepreneur who rents outher glass-bottom boat to anyone who is stupid enough to fork over 6000 pieces of eight.
Stan
Having given up the used-ship business, Stan is now focussing his attention on the afterlife, selling used coffins.
Herman Toothrot
Our favourite castaway has relocated to Dinky Island, since it's less commercial, and has now taken up meditation and philosophy to pass the time until he's rescued.
