E3 Update
Here We Golf Tennis and Kart
I
spent a good ten minutes on this beautiful little game and I can already tell it
is a must-buy for anybody looking for 4-player battle mode fun. One of the
coolest levels was the cheese-type world known as Cheese Land or something of
that nature. The game plays more like Super Mario Kart than Mario Kart 64.
Turning is much like the original and so is sliding. The only thing to return
from the N64 are the weapons. All the spiked shells and three way red shells are
back and better than ever. I noticed Peach is the most aggressive character when
I played the game. She was always on my ass but not to the point of ridiculous
AI. The game is LOADED with tracks. This easily blows the N64 version away in
terms of content and I for one can't wait for its stateside launch. Only a few
more months.
Old News
The
latest editorial by IGN Pocket revealed a beautiful movie of Mario Kart
Advance from which I posted the logo and the movie from their site. The game
looks fantastic and is modeled after both previous titles. The characters are
richly animated and run at a smooth framerate at most times. You can also sleep
well knowing that all of your old favorites are here including Wario, Bowser,
Toad and Donkey Kong. (Still no Koopa) The best part are the coins, which have
made a comeback since the first Mario Kart title. Just a few more weeks until I
get to try this little gem out. Check back for more info. Jimmy
crack corn and I don't care.
