    ~~RED MOON~~

    A Giovanni Campaign

    The Campaign(s):

    Red Moon is a campaign began on Thursday, March 30 the of 2000. It slowly grew out of two other short campaigns that were run by me and a another friend. Red Moon is a long term campaign, planned for a year or more as we are entering our last semesters of college. The premise is simple: The players will begin as human members of the Giovanni family (barring a few changes for various reasons) and work their way up the family ladder, eventually becoming ghouls and then vampires. Various battles and politicking will be necessary to gain family prestige while solving the various crisis that come along from game to game.

    I believe the Giovanni are one of, if not THE, most interesting and well developed vampire clans in all of the white wolf series. A source of conspiracies about no less than FOUR other vampire clans/bloodlines (Harbringers of Skulls, The Cappadocians, The Lamia, and the Samedi), possessor of the best clanbook to date (IMHO), and enemy to countless others, the Giovanni are in a class all their own. The Red Moon campaign takes an approach to the clan akin to black humor, with influences such as Pulp Fiction, Preacher, and The Punisher (current version). My take on the Giovanni is that they truly are, a dysfunctional family, but one that gets the job done and looks out for one another, till death do us part..

    And often, not even then...
