Ness got hurt and collapsed! Looks like you got your... hey, where is your head?
Uhoh, you seem to have lost your head. Goodbye Ness.
The decapitated Ness fell down to the ground as Pokey laughed at him. Ness struggled to find his head, only to fail miserably.
"Argh! Pokey! You haven't won yet! You see, Jeff, Paula, and Poo will get revenge for what you just did!" Ness's head shouted at Pokey!
Everything around Ness darkened and he lost conciseness permanently.
 
 

Ness woke up, still sweating from the nightmare. He looked out the window as his eyes burned from the brightness of the sun. He looked at the clock as it read 7:21AM. He was still tired, and only woke up from the sun, but he refused to go to sleep, mostly because he didn't want another nightmare.
Ness put on his street clothes and walked down the stairs.
"Ness, you had a nightmare didn't you?" His Mom asked. Ness wasn't too surprised, his mom could always tell when something was wrong.
"Yeah, I dreamt Pokey actually got me this time."
"I thought Pokey ran away from home..."
"I still cant get him out of my head." Ness replied, chewing on a waffle.
"That's terrible, you shouldn't have to worry about Pokey and Googyis, or was it Guygas?"
Before Ness could reply the phone rang. Ness slowly trotted toward the phone, about to pass out from the Summer heat.
"Hello?"
"Ness! This is Paula. Just wanted to see if your doing anything today... everybody seems to have taken a day off from work today so there's nothing to do. The only place open is Mach Pizza, but who wants pizza in 126... make that 127 degrees."
"I'm sure we could do something... lets call the others and see if we come up with anything. If we don't I'll probably die from boredom and heat."
"I'll call Jeff, you call Poo. Where should we meet?"
"Your place of course. Later."
"Bye."
Ness clicked the phone and dialed Poo's number. He noticed his mom had watched him.
"Ness, you know better than that! You know Dalaam is long distance! We cant afford such calls!!"
"All right mom..." Ness replied, and hung up the phone. He gathered his mind power and glowed a dark light. An ear piercing ring went through the house as Ness used telepathy to contact Poo.
"Poo, are you there? Hello...?"
"Huh? Is this you Ness? You caught me at a bad time, I am currently Mu training."
"In this heat your out there Mu training??"
"This is Dalaam, it is currently Winter here."
"Oh..."
"I'm learning a new Starstorm! Although I don't know what good it is going to do, now that Giygas is destroyed."
"So come on over!" Ness replied.
"Cant, the king insists."
"That's what I thought... oh well. Come over at Paulas place when you have the time, later."
"Farewell Ness."
Ness's glow disappeared.
"Later mom! I'm going over to Paulas place!"
"Be back before dinner..."
Ness walked out the door and headed for Twoson.
 
 

Ness was only at the arcade and already had a sunstroke. He held his hands to his head and casted HealBeta and felt a little better.
Eventually Ness arrived at Polestar to find Paula and Jeff greet him.
"Poo's busy with Mu training, he couldn't make it." Ness replied.
"That's too bad..." Paula said.
"Uhh, so what were we all going to do again?" Ness asked.
"Mach pizza!" Jeff replied. "You know, they don't serve JUST pizza! They serve lots of icy cold drinks, slushees, icy col-" Jeff was then cut off by Ness.
"Say no more! Were going to Mach pizza!!" Ness shouted. As they walked, shielding their eyes from the blinding sun, Ness thought about the cool treats that await him. Not many people were walking around in the heat, in fact Ness couldn't spot any.
They arrived at Mach pizza.
"What is this??" Ness shouted, surprised. He looked at the sign on the closed door. "Sorry, we are no longer available in Twoson due to lack of business. However, you can still find us in Threed! Thank you for your many years of support!"
"Why Mach pizza, why?" Jeff shouted.
"Lets all just go home, we tried." Paula said. They made their way home until Jeff spoke.
"You know, the heat is really getting to me!" Jeff said as he took out his gaia beam. He aimed at Paula and fired as Paula fell unconcises on the asphalt road.
"Jeff!! What do you think your doing!!" Ness shouted. He couldn't believe it. He got out his gutsy bat and SMAAAAAASHed Jeff upside the head. Jeff stumbled and fell.
"Ness!! What do you think your doing??" Paula cried.
"Huh? But I thought you were unconcises!" Ness shouted. Jeff got up slowly and wiped some blood from his lip.
"What's the big idea Ness?" Jeff said. Ness then realized he was hallucinating from the heat.
"Sorry... the heat was getting to me..." Ness said. They made their way down the road, but stopped when they heard music. Ness shielded his eyes and struggled to look down the way the music was coming from.
"Its the... the... the..." Ness stuttered.
"The... the... ice... the ice..." Paula struggled to say it.
"The ice cream truck!!" Jeff shouted. Finally, an end to the heat stroke!! People came one by one out to the street and soon there was a rather large crowd. Everybody was there, everybody from all over. Ness could barely hear himself think as the crowd shouted happily at the ice cream truck. The ice cream truck pulled over to reveal Pokey driving it.
"Pokey! What are you doing??" Ness shouted in Pokeys general direction.
"You thought I'd be on the run forever didn't ya? Just like you to be so gullible! Just like the pigs butt you are. I was tricking you the whole time Ness! I was really on your side! If you didn't realize I threw my shoe at Giygas! And with that I delivered the final blow! So I'm really the one who saved the world!" Pokey said as the crowd gasped.
"Its a lie!! Don't listen to him!" Ness shouted, but no one could hear him, because they were all too busy talking about how Ness didn't save the world, how Pokey defeated Giygas, and how Ness was a liar. But before Ness could say anything more Pokey spoke.
"So... who wants some ice cream??" He shouted. The crowd screamed in approval. Pokey then threw out popsicles of different flavors. Banana, cherry, strawberry, apple, lime, cinnamon, peach, lemon, orange, and even licorice flavored. Paula got a strawberry flavored one and Jeff got a lime flavored.
"Guys!!" Ness shouted at Paula and Jeff.
"You want to die of heat? You said you didn't on the phone! Who cares if its Pokey, this is ice cream!" Paula said to Ness.
"Cmon Ness, I have a special steak flavored one, saved it just for you! Lets put our differences aside good buddy. Here... take it." Pokey handed the popsicle to Ness. Ness looked at it. Then Ness threw it down and kicked it.
"I don't want anything from you Pokey! I just want you to get out of my life!!" Ness screamed at Pokey. The crowd went silent for an eerie 10 seconds. Pokey broke the silence.
"Haha, thought you'd see it that way! You'll get yours pigs butt!" Pokey said, and drove away. The crowd slowly grew smaller as they went back to their houses until there was nobody but Paula, Jeff, and Ness left.
"I really don't know why you just didn't get a popsicle." Paula said to Ness.
"Lets just forget about the whole thing..." Ness said. The group said their goodbyes and headed home.
Ness didn't have any trouble getting home, as it was night, so it was cool and dark.
 
 

The next morning Ness, Jeff, and Paula were gathered at Paulas place. The hot Summer heat almost killed them.
"Well, here we are, again, nothing to do, dying from heat." Paula announced.
Then all three of them started to hear loud music coming from down the road. The runaway5 bus came to a stop by them. Lucky came out and greeted them.
"How can you guys stand this heat? Why don't you take a ride in the nice, cool, runaway 5 bus! We'll play a number for you!" Lucky said happily.
"Wow, that'd be great!" Ness said. They all got in the bus. The bus made a lot of noise as the engine started and they rolled down the street. The bus seemed... darker... somehow, in the inside. Darker than before. Something didn't seem right. Something was out of place... Ness just couldn't put his finger on it. It wasn't even that cool, in fact, it was hotter in here than it was outside! Also, nobody was playing any music. No music, silence. No one talking, pure silence.
"So, weren't you going to play something for us Lucky?" Ness asked. Lucky appeared to be in the corner, doing something.
"Sorry Ness. Too hot to play anything, now just keep quiet, OK?" Lucky replied. Ness said nothing. 10 minutes passed. Ness, Paula, and Jeff were whispering to each other what was going on. Then lucky moved from the corner and on to passenger seat. Ness looked over and saw a tiny machine in the corner Lucky was in. It had a timer, so it must've been a clock. Lucky was probably trying to set it or something. Ness noticed the whole runaway5 gang had no seatbelts on.
"Well guys, I guess we can do a number for ya." Lucky announced. One of the runaway5 started beating on the drums while another one played the keyboard.
"I got the blues... the blues... the blues..." Lucky sang. "Money is what I don't got..." Then Lucky opened the car door, and so did all the other of the runaway5. Then they all jumped out while slamming the doors. Ness watched as they rolled behind the bus.
"What's going on?" Jeff asked. Ness observed the clock some more.
"Its a bomb!!" Ness shouted. "Cmon, we gotta get outta here!"
Paula attempted to open the door. "Its stuck!!"
"Cmon Jeff, you're the science kid, defuse the bomb!!" Ness shouted to Jeff. Then Jeff ran over to the bomb and started fooling around with it. Just then Ness noticed they were still rolling, the car was in neutral! The car was also heading for a lake!
"Aw crap, the bomb has a security password, you cant hack it! Ack! It jumped a minute! We have 2 minutes left to do something..." Jeff announced.
"Just our luck! Somehow I think Pokey has something to do with this..." Ness said.
"How? Its the runaway5 obviously!!" Paula said.
"I don't care really, I just wanna get outta here. I'll try and steer the car away from the lake. I sure wish this bus had windows..." Ness said. Then Ness ran toward the drivers seat and attempted to turn the steering wheel. "Its stuck!! I'll bust the drivers window open!" Then Ness reached for his gutsy bat. "Argh! They ripped off my bat!! Only one thing left..." Ness concentrated and glowed an awesome light. Then rainbow colored beams shot from his forehead and busted the drivers window open. "Perfect! Lets go!" Ness shouted.
"Its going 150 mph though! And we only have 30 seconds left!" Jeff said, looking at the speedometer.
"We have no choice, we have to do something!!" Paula said. Then Ness jumped out the drivers seat and on to the hood of the bus. "Cmon guys!" Ness shouted. Ness noticed they were heading for the lake at top speed, and were almost there. Paula and Jeff jumped on to the hood.
"So now what?" Paula shouted, barely hearing herself.
"Just do what I do." Ness said. They were nearing the lake, and were going to hit any second now. "We need perfect timing..." Ness said. Then the bus hit the water and skipped a few times. Then Ness jumped off, and so did the others. They landed in the water and swam to the shore. Ness watched the bus hit the other side of the lake, tip over, then explode.
Then Ness got hit with a guitar by Lucky. Paula got hit on the head with a drum and Jeff got smacked with a keyboard. Ness concentrated and glowed a glorious light and tried PSI Rockin omega!! Rainbow colored strobes shot out of Ness's head at light speed and knocked all the runaway5 unconscious. Ness tried Lifeup omega on the runaway5! A light emitted from Ness and spread to all the runaway5 as they woke up.
"Huh? Where am I?" Lucky asked.
"Uhh, we found you here." Ness said.
"Oh hi Ness, do you know what happened, I cant seem to remember much..."
"Your bus kinda exploded..." Paula announced.
"Now how did that happen?? I'm sorry guys, but I gotta go now..." Lucky said, looking at his watch. "We gotta gig to do the Topolla theater in a half hour! Cmon guys." Then the runaway5 went running off into the distance.
The giant red sun baked Ness, Paula, and Jeff.
"I don't even want to know..." Jeff said.
 
 

"All time lows for Threed this Summer! 53 degrees right now! However for Onett and Twoson were at record breaking highs! 123 for Onett and 164 for Twoson!" The weatherman announced. Ness threw a shoe at the TV and watched it turn off.
"Argh, I'm sick of this heat!!" Ness shouted. Then Ness decided to take a visit to Threed. Ness called Paula only to find out she was busy teaching. So he called Jeff to find out that he was on at a runaway5 concert. So he went to Threed alone.
Ness arrived at Threed by teleportation. Brick road greeted him.
"Hi Ness! Everybody's here cooling off from the heat! Even Winters is above 100 degrees!" Ness and Brick road talked for bit. "Well Ness, I've finally completed my latest dungeon, would you like to try it?"
"Sure, I guess." Ness said, not really wanting that much more adventure. Then Brick road led Ness down a dirt road and to a secluded area. There stood a 5 story tower.
"Well, here it is!" Brick road said.
"Wow! Well, I guess I better go now, I only said I would look at it..."
"OK Ness, that's fine with me."
Then Ness started back down the dirt road. All the sudden, the ground opened up and ate Ness! Ness was sliding down a steel tube and landed with a thud at a brick surface. He realized he was in the tower! Ness walked up some stairs and saw the entrance. He tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. He heard brick roads voice on the other side. "Haha!! Ness your so unaware!! You'll have to get to the top of the tower if you want to live! Later pigs butt!" Brick road said to Ness through the other side of the door.
"Oh great... Brick road has gone insane also." Ness said to himself. The first floor was easier than Ness thought, all he did was walk up some stairs. Ness walked down a dimly lit hallway. Then he saw a tiny door in the middle of a wall and noticed it was a dead end. A sign above the door read "So, just how manly are you?"
Ness decided he was barely small enough to fit in the door, and that it was probably the only way to go. Ness opened the door to find 100's of black widow spiders, giant bee's, and roaches fly out the hole. Ness jumped back.
"THIS is the only way to go??" Ness shouted. Ness concentrated and glowed an awesome light. Then he tried PSI Rockin Beta! A rainbow colored ray shot out from Ness's forehead and wiped out all the bugs. Ness walked back toward the hole, hearing lots of crunching from the dead bugs. He made his way into the hole and started crawling. Soon there was no light and Ness was claustrophobic, so he couldn't stay in such tiny spaces for too long. Then he finally he saw some light. He jumped out and landed on a ceiling. Soon Ness noticed he was in his house! Except the colors were inverted, and it was upside down. Then he saw his... mom? He couldn't tell if it was really her. She had red eyes and was also inverted. Ness noticed she saw him.
"Ness, what are you doing up there?" His mom said in a demonic voice. "You come down from there this instant!" Then his mom shot out a spray of fire. Ness ran to his room as fast as he could, passing by a demonic Tracy and King. When he got to his room he saw a demonic version of himself. Ness was very surprised. The demonic Ness said "You'll get yours!!" and disappeared. Ness walked up on his bed and looked out the window. He saw the demonic Tracy coming into his room. Ness opened the window and jumped. A swirl of colors appeared before Ness and he landed on a concrete floor. He saw a sign read "Floor three" and saw some stairs. Ness went up the stairs and ended up in a pathway that split in two directions. He took the left path and ended up in another split path. He realized he was in a maze. After ten minutes of running around Ness was at a deadend. There was a giant round door on the wall. Ness saw a sign below it that read "Go ahead, open the door, I dare you."
Ness felt a lump in his throat. He leaped up and hung to the doorknob. He turned it and jumped back as the door opened. A giant eight ball came rolling out toward Ness! Ness ran as fast as he could and came to another pathway, he took the northeast one. He noticed the eight ball had followed him. Ness went around running and taking pathways as the eight ball chased him for about 14 minutes until Ness ended up in a deadend. No door this time. The eight ball rolled toward Ness, and Ness had no where to go. Ness tried not to panic as the eight ball was only about a couple yards away, and rolling fast. Ness concentrated and tried PSI Rockin omega! A rainbow colored strobe shot from Ness's forehead at light speed and hit the eight ball, but it just bounced back at Ness for no damage. The eight ball was now a yard away! Ness reached in his backpack and felt a bomb!
"Only Jeff can use these very good... but I have no choice!" Ness said to himself, and threw the bomb at the eight ball. A huge explosion occurred and the eight ball stopped rolling, inches away from Ness. Then the "8" on the eight ball opened up, to reveal a path inside the eight ball. Ness jumped inside and fell on concrete floor and saw a sign that read "Top of tower, next right"
Ness went up the stairs toward his right and ended up at the top. His eyes burned from the daylight. He closed his eyes and rubbed them. Then he felt a powerful surge and got blasted back! He opened his eyes and realized he was hanging from the tower, about to fall. Then he saw the demonic Ness appear above him.
"Now is the time!! Pokey shall gain vengeance on you all!!" He shouted and started to glow a dark light. Ness realized the demonic Ness was about to cast PSI Rockin, not sure which one though. Ness leapt from his current position and behind the demonic Ness. Ness started to concentrate, ready to cast PSI Rockin omega. But he got blasted back with demonic Ness's Rockin. Ness couldn't tell which one it was, it didn't seem like any he had. He found himself near the edge of the tower again. Ness concentrated again, about to cast PSI Rockin omega. But instead he got blasted by the demonic Ness's Rockin. Ness found himself hanging from the edge. He quickly leapt up and found himself face to face with his demonic version. Ness realized this wasn't going to work, he was going to have to try something different.
Then Ness got an idea! He reached in his backpack and pulled out a DX Skip Sandwich as the demonic Ness glowed a dark light again. Ness ate the sandwich and dodged the demonic Ness's Rockin! He darted all over the place dodging everything the demonic Ness threw at him. Eventually the demonic Ness had no energy left to cast anything else! Ness concentrated and was ready to cast PSI Rockin omega! Then the demonic Ness disappeared. All the sudden, Ness felt a powerful punch from behind him and fell over. The demonic Ness appeared in front of Ness.
"I am your exact double Ness. Don't try to defeat me, you'll fail everytime! Now to fulfill Pokey's dreams!" The demonic Ness said. Then Ness realized that when he ate the DX Skip Sandwich, the demonic Ness gained speed too! That is how the demonic Ness dodged the Rockin omega...
Ness thought hard as he got punched again and blasted over near the edge.
"You still don't understand don't you Ness? If you defeat me, you'll die also!" The demonic Ness said.
Then Ness realized something. This was his evil spirit! He remembered the Sea of Eden, and how his evil self was waiting for him. Then he realized this was his Nightmare, returning.
"Ness, I can read your mind. And when you destroyed me, I was actually still alive! If you had completely destroyed me, you would've been dead! And with this advantage I can cause some serious damage, not only to you Ness, but to all of your friends, all of Eagleland!!"
Then Ness pushed his evil self off the tower and watched him fall... and fall... and land. The evil Ness then disappeared.
Then all the sudden, Ness felt his mind becoming extremely blank. He wasn't able to think anymore. No more thoughts ran in his head. Then his eyesight faded away. Soon he couldn't hear or feel anymore. Ness no longer had a mind.

The demonic Ness couldn't get up. He didn't have enough energy to cast lifeup. He reached in his backpack for a PSI caramel. He grasped one and ate it, almost puking it back out. He casted lifeup and regained 92 HP. The demonic Ness tried teleport beta and warped out of Threed.

Ness felt his mind coming back. Then Ness felt the concrete ground beneath him and heard the birds chirping and saw the giant sun above him. Ness looked from the tower on to the town of Threed. He saw lots of people fighting each other. He saw a rope leading from the ground up to the tower. Ness slid down on it and eventually reached the ground. Ness tried PSI Teleport alpha and ended up home. He walked inside to find his mom watching TV.
"Oh, hi Ness." His mom said. "I cleaned up your room for you."
"Thanks mom." Ness said, surprised. He walked up the stairs toward his room, very tired, and ready for a good nights sleep. He opened his door to find nothing in there. Everything was gone from his room. And there in the middle of his room, stood a giant bull.
"I hope you like your new pet Ness!" His mom yelled. Then his mom slammed the door shut. Ness tried to open it but it was jammed. The bull lowered his head and charged at Ness! Ness dodged swiftly! The bull got his horns stuck in the door, and pulled them out, ripping the door in half. Then Ness opened his window as the bull charged again. Ness dodged swiftly! The bull's head got caught in the window, he was stuck. Ness crawled out of the hole in the door to find his mom with a frying pan. His mom whacked Ness with it repeatedly. Ness couldn't hurt his mom, so he ran outside.
Looks like he wasn't going to get a good nights rest after all!
Ness walked down the Onett road, wondering what was happening. He called Paula and Jeff from a payphone and ten minutes later they both arrived. Ness told them what happened.
"Wow Ness, that's terrible." Jeff said.
"Too bad for you pigs butt." Paula said.
"What?" Ness asked.
"She said, too bad for you pigs butt, geez, are you deaf or something?" Jeff told Ness. Then Paula started to glow, and she casted PSI Fire omega on Ness!! Ness felt a multi bottle rocket slam against him and explode, dealing mortal damage. Ness casted lifeup omega and got his HP back.
"What are you guys doing??" Ness asked.
"What does it look like Ness? Destroying you!!" Jeff yelled. Ness dodged another PSI Fire omega as it hit Jeff. Then he dodged a multi bottle rocket as it hit Paula. Surprised, Ness casted lifeup omega on them both.
Their eyes opened slowly.
"Huh, why am I outside...?" Jeff said, sleepy.
"I cant remember anything..." Paula said. Ness told them what had happened.
"Wow, I did that? I'm sorry Ness..." Jeff said.
"I had no idea! I cant remember a thing!" Paula said. Then it all came to Ness.
"You were all hypnotized by Pokey!! It was those popsicles! That's why I'm the only one who hasn't gone insane yet! Somehow, he put something in the popsicles, which allowed him to control your every move!" Ness shouted.
"So, it took an explosion, bugs, an eight ball, loss of mind, a bull, and whack with a frying pan from your own mom to finally figure it out." Pokey said, in a rebuilt SpiderMech DX. Ness didn't waste any time. He casted PSI Rockin omega as a rainbow colored strobe shot out of  his forehead at lightspeed and hit the spider mech DX. Not a scratch. Paula tried PSI Fire omega as an explosion of fire leaped from her hand and engulfed the spider mech DX. Not a scratch. Jeff lit off his multi bottle rocket and watched as it leaped into the air and came down on the spider mech DX with a huge and fiery explosion. Not a scratch.
"You call yourselves heroes! Hahaha!" Pokey shouted, then pressed a button. A black beam shot from the spider mech DX and hit the three in the stomach for mortal damage. Their HP was running out fast. Ness tried PSI lifeup omega! But he didn't have enough energy left to cast anything...
Then from nowhere a mini tornado came toward Ness! The tornado stopped to reveal Poo!
"Sorry I'm late, I finally finished my Mu training!" Then Poo realized what was happening. Poo tried PSI lifeup omega, and the three were healed.
"Now to test out my new Starstorm!" Poo glowed red, and raised his arms. The bright, burning sun, went down and the moon came up and stars were bright as ever. Then the stars came down by the thousands and exploded into Pokeys spidermech. Then the sun came back up, resuming the baking of Eagleland. Pokey's spidermech DX was a pile of metal.
"Uhhh, just you wait and see! I'm not running away... just think of me as... taking a break from all of this! Later pigs butt! Spankety spankety spankety!" Pokey said, and ran off with his chubby self down the street as his stomach bobbed up and down.
The sun baked the four as they stood there.
"Sooooo..... what do you guys wanna do?" Ness asked.
"Hmm, how about some popsicles..." Jeff said.
Ness looked at Jeff strangely.
"Heh, just kidding." Jeff said.
