From the steamy recesses of the southern swamps comes a figure cloaked in mystery. The Necromancer, as his name implies, is an unseemly form of sorcerer whose spells deal with the raising of the dead and the summoning and control of various creatures for his purposes. Though his goals are often aligned with those of the forces of Light, some do not think that these ends can justify his foul means. Long hours of study in dank mausolea have made his skin pale and corpselike, his figure, skeletal. Most people shun him for his peculiar looks and ways, but none doubt the power of the Necromancer, for it is the stuff of nightmares.

The Necromancer is one of the coolest charchters of the game. It can also be one of the most difficult if you don't know how to use it. Thats why we strive to give you the best information, help, and tactics.
Skills
Here is where you can really screw up. I know I did with my first Necromancer. It's really tempting to pour all of your skills into skeletons but the only thing really worthwhile is Golem Mastery. Your probably thinking my skeletons are just fine but by the third act they can't hold their own against most of the enemies. Golems are really cool but with each act they become weaker and weaker so Golem Mastery is a good idea.
Curses are the Necromancers strongest skill set. Minions are pretty much useless by act four on the other hand you can use curses all the way through the Hell setting. This is why I strongly reccomend using curses and not so much minions. It will help you overall to make a really good character. Isn't that what everyone wants? So instead of putting that extra point into Raise Skeleton put it into Amplify damage.
These are also a good place to put your experience points. My personal favorite is Bone Spear, I suggest dumping a lot of points here. Teeth on the other hand is a big waste, i wouldn't even bother with it. No Necromancer is complete without his Bone Armor so I suggest putting several point here. Bone Spirit is also a good one to invest several points in. Poison and Bone Spells are really good so I would definetly develop them to get a strong character.
Attributes
The starting attributes for Necromancer are rather weak especially strength. This is for a reason though. The Necromancer doesn't need as much strength as a Barbarian so instead dumping all your points hear to get a good weapon put them in Energy or Vitality.
