Version 1.0 = Initial public release. 12/17/2022

This editor will let you adjust lots of things in Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, and you can then patch those changes into your ISO/ROM.

This editor will work on 3 different platforms (PlayStation 2, GameCube, & Dreamcast), as well as most versions and regions of the game. There is a list below.

IMPORTANT:
Your patched ISO/ROM will work fine with a new game or with a game you saved at one of the typewriters in the game (you access these by selecting "LOAD GAME"). However, it will probably not work with most pre-existing emulator "Save States".

List of versions/regions that the editor has been tested on so far (will likely work on more)...

PlayStation 2:
Resident Evil Code Veronica X.iso (USA, SLUS-20184) / Biohazard Code Veronica - Kanzenban.iso (Japan, SLPM-65022). As of now, the editor doesn't work on the PS2 European version.

GameCube (works on disc 1 or disc 2):
Resident Evil Code Veronica X.iso (USA, GCDE08) / Resident Evil - Code - Veronica X.iso (Europe, GCDP08) / Biohazard Code Veronica - Kanzenban.iso (Japan, GCDJ08).

Dreamcast (works on disc 1 or disc 2, will not work on CDI type ROMs):
Resident Evil Code Veronica.bin (USA, T1204N)(Track 3) / Resident Evil Code Veronica.bin (Europe, T36806D)(Track 3).

There are likely more versions as well, but there were just too many to test them all. The editor is designed to work on multiple versions, even ones that haven't been tested. The editor will let you know if your ISO/ROM will work or not.

The correct size of the file you'll need to open for editing should be somewhere between 1.1 GB to 1.8 GB, depending on which platform and version you have. If the file your're trying to open is smaller than that and the editor won't open it, then you are probably trying to open the wrong file.

Adjustment compatibility with the 3 different platforms...

PlayStation 2:
Everything in the editor works on the PS2 version.

GameCube:
Everything works except: New game weapon & health, green herb health, zombie & dog damage.

Dreamcast:
Everything works except: New game weapon & health, green herb health, dog damage. Zombie base damage doesn't work, but the additional zombie damage does work (you can reduce the amount of damage from some stronger zombies).

You'll know which adjustments aren't avilable with your platform, since they will be grayed out and not functional. May add full compatibility for the GameCube and Dreamcast versions in the future if there's any interest.

Editor has only been tested on the default/normal difficulty on the Japanese/Biohazard versions.

When patching, you can decide if you want it to create a new ROM or not. If you do make a new ROM, the program will automatically add "Patched" to the end of your file name, which makes it easy to remember which file was patched, although you can name the new file anything you want as long as it's not the same as the original file name. This keeps your original ROM safe.

There are several Help/info buttons in the editor that should answer any questions.

ISO/ROMs that I patched with this editor have only been tested with emulation on a PC. To the best of my knowledge, they should also work on real hardware.

Shouldn't need any additional files if you're using Windows (uses the .net framework).
