Four Corners Match for the vacant NIPW Triple Crown Title:

x Hayabusa beat Norton via the Falcon Arrow in 0:06:37
x Chono beat Saturn via the STF in 0:12:32
x Hayabusa beat Chono via the Falcon Arrow in 0:18:32
Rating: ***
(Hayabusa won the NIPW Triple Crown Title.)
Match observations:
Live from the MCI Dome in Washington, D.C., the NIPW aired on FOX
like always. The Triple Crown Title Belt found a home, and more
controversy has surrounded the NIPW World Title situatuin.
Current J-Crown Champion Jyushin Lyger and El Samurai defeated
Black Tiger and Chris Jericho in a junior heavyweight tag team
match. Lyger ended the match by pinning Black Tiger after a brain
buster and then a Running Lyger Bomb as El Samurai occupied
Jericho on the outside.
In an interview, a Rob Van Dam vs. Mitsuharu Misawa match occured
for a shot at Great Muta's NIPW World Title at the next Pay Per
View. Misawa came out with the win, but injured his left rotator
cuff in the process. We are unsure on how long he'll be out and
this could cost him his shot at Muta depending on the seriousness
of the injury.
Great Muta claims he has no problem in taking the night off for
the Pay Per View. I don't think that will be happening though.
Rob Van Dam says that he injured Misawa purposely and knew that
title shots would always be there, so he claims that Muta owes
him for taking out Misawa. Van Dam seems to think that what Muta
owes him, is a World Title shot at the Pay Per View. Word on
that situation will be given by Calloway on next Wednesday.
Hayabusa, Masahiro Chono, Saturn, and Scott Norton went at it
for the main event in a four-corners Triple Crown Title Match.
Hayabusa eliminated Norton with the Falcon Arrow, and Saturn was
eliminated by Chono. Hayabusa and Chono took each other to the
limit as chairs and tables entered the ring. Hayabusa was able
to skim by with a win using the Falcon Arrow. Hayabusa was presented
the Triple Crown Title as the screen faded out.

*.News/Rumors
- Rob Van Dam could begin insulting Sabu's wrestling ability and say
that he carries the two, which should eventually lead to the split of
the tag team. Team FMW consisting of Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki
would be happy to take either one of them and add them to their
stable.
- Jyushin Lyger, who plays a small role in booking the junior
heavyweight matches and angles, reportedly had a meeting with NIPW
Owner/President Troy Calloway. Topics discussed during this meeting,
where a push for Asai and Great Sasuke, the possible Super J Cup in
the summer, and a possible junior heavyweight tag team division in
the future.
- The Triple Threat, currently of only Shane Douglas and Francine,
could start a bitter fued with the new World order consisting of Scott
Steiner, Great Muta, Masahiro Chono, Buff Bagwell, and Scott Norton
with the nWo Referee when Douglas gets two more members to join his
stable.
- Due to the lack of managers in the NIPW, Owner/President Troy
Calloway has contacted Rick Rude, Kimona, Terri Runnels, and Debra
McMichael about jobs. He claims to be most interested in Kimona, who
could possibly manage Rob Van Dam,Sabu, Masahiro Chono, or Team FMW.
Rick Rude would most likely manage the Triple Threat due to him
managing Shane Douglas previously in the ECW.
- Expect Wild Pegaus to be getting a huge push in the junior
heavyweight division in the next few months that could result in him
cleanly defeating Lyger for the J-Crown Title.
- Troy Calloway is interested in hiring ECW star Lance Storm, WCW
Cruiserweight Psicosis, and possibly ECW newcomer as a talent exchange
for part-time use for an NIPW star, Yoshihiro Tajiri. What star will
appear in ECW could be Rob Van Dam, Black Tiger, or Jinsei Shinzaki.
- World Championship Wrestling's President Eric Bischoff and Troy
Calloway have been talking lately via phone. Bischoff wants Lyger to
wrestling in a few shows for the WCW, but Calloway is concerned of
Lyger jobbing like he did when he was previously doing WCW shows.
- Later on this year, Calloway wants to bring in Sauke the Great,
Masked Tiger, and Tiger Mask IV from Michinoku Pro. Sasuke the Great
and the Masked Tiger would fued with the Great Sasuke and Tiger Mask
IV in an angle that they had going on in Michinoku Pro. Tiger Mask IV
would also make a good run at the NIPW J-Crown Title.
- Mitsuharu Misawa pinned Rob Van Dam in a number-1-contendors match
on Showdown to earn a shot at Rob Van Dam. But as soon as everything
becomes clear, a dark cloud once again confuses everybody, as Misawa
tore his left rotator cuff during the match. Misawa might miss his
shot at Muta, and could be replaced with Van Dam.
- Expect for Hayabusa to have a great and VERY long reign as NIPW
Triple Crown Champion. Also expect him to win the Tag Titles sometimes
this year with his partner Jinsei Shinzaki.
