TNM Basement Interview with Joe Denis (JUNE 2000)
bAz: First of all we'll talk about wrestling...How did you actually
first find out about professional wrestling, and who were your
favourite wrestlers?
Joe: I first found out about wrestling on t.v. with WWF Superstars and
Maple Leaf Wrestling(Canadian WWF Program). I guess it started a
little before WrestleMania V because that was the first pay-per-view
I ever saw. My favorite wrestlers back then were Hulk Hogan and The
Rockers especially Shawn Michaels.
bAz: What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?
Joe: The World Wrestling Federation has to be the greatest federation
of all to be because when I was groing up it was the only wrestling I
ever saw there saw never any NWA/WCW or any indys on t.v. where I
live so I had to watch the WWF and that's why I've always been on the
WWF's side of the line.
bAz: Now onto TNM matters...How did you first find out about TNM?
Joe: During the summer of 1996, I was just searching the net for
wrestling games on day, and I came to this page and it had two
Wrestling Simulators and one of them was TNM.
bAz: What version did you download?
Joe: The first version I downloaded was 6.2
bAz: What version did you first register?
Joe: I registered TNM7
bAz: What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that you'd
seen?
Joe: I like the option in TNM more than the others, it has a nice feel
to it, and the visual aspect is good. I like to be able to book
everything, make cards, the interviews and all that. I also like the
ability to create extensive wrestlers not just one or two moves.
bAz: What do you think of the recently released Circuit Tweaker?
Joe: I've tried but I don't plan on buying it anytime soon, I use the
old circuit editor.
bAz: What do you think of Zeus?
Joe: Haven't tried it, don't want to try it.
bAz: What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?
Joe: I love it, it gives the oppertunity to create matches that you
can't have with the regular TNM7 options. And you have to believe I
like since that is what I do for my site, and when I make a match it
has to be better than any other FCA Cubed Match like doing the
matches, but I wish there was a way to save the finishes.
bAz: What do you think of the Interview Integrator?
Joe: It's good, I use it for all my stuff that happens backstage and
the promos in the ring. Before I had the interview Integrator I used
to do cards without any interviews or anything and now when I try to
do one without interviews it's just not the same thing.
bAz: What do you think is the best TNM7 plugin?
Joe: Either the FCA Cubed Matches or the Interview Integrator.
bAz: What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match plugin?
Joe: A Lumberjack Match would be great I think it's the only thing
missing from TNM.
bAz: Finally we come to the TNM Sites section..What TNM sites do you
frequent most often?
Joe: The official TNM page and WrestleDen because Maise has great
exports.
bAz: What made you want to create Joe's TNM Place?
Joe: Well I had seen some FCA Cubed Matches on the internet, and most
of them just sucked, they had like 2 spots and that was it so I said
to myself "I'm going to give the people what they want big FCA Cubed
matches with alot of spots" and that's what I do. I like doing the
FCA Cubed Matches so putting them on my site is simple.
bAz: What do you think of the sites that post exports of wrestlers who
haven't even wrestled? e.g. Midian, "Titan" a.k.a Paul Wight
Joe: I don't really care because most the wrestlers do the same moves
i.e.bodyslam, kicks, dropkicks, and most wrestlers have faught on the
indy seen. What's the big deal if someone makes them Mideon was Dennis
Knight so it doesn't change his fighting style, and Paul Wight was
The Giant and a name change doesn't change your style.
bAz: What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?
Joe: It's good, the newsletter is good it gives people a chance to
put their circuits in it so other people can get ideas from it and
thing like that.
bAz: And the last question for today...What do you hope to see in the
future for TNM and you?
Joe: For TNM, I don't know it can only get better. As for me you never
know one day maybe I'll have my own export for TNM, you never know!
