>> INTERVIEW!!: TNM BASEMENT INTERVIEW WITH FRANK STANISLAWCZYK (Apr '99)
{Taken from Issue #69}
In this interview bAz stands for me
FS stands for Frank Stanislawczyk
bAz: First of all we'll talk about wrestling...How did you actually
first find out about professional wrestling, and who were your
favourite wrestlers?
FS: I was just looking through the channels one Sunday morning in 1992
and WWF Superstars was on. I watched for a little while and I was
hooked. Back then, I'd have to say my favorites were Ultimate Warrior
and Randy Savage.
bAz: What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?
FS: I haven't really seen much Japanese or Lucha wrestling, so I have
limited experience, but currently the best would be WWF because
although WCW has better wrestling, WWF has more interesting angles.
bAz: Now onto TNM matters...How did you first find out about TNM?
FS: I was talking with a friend about wrestling and he brought up a
wrestling simulator (TNM). I said "what's that?" and he gave me the
link to the TNM site.
bAz: What version did you download?
FS: Version 6.2
bAz: What version did you first register?
FS: Version 6.2+
bAz: What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that you'd
seen?
FS: TNM has the largest selection of wrestlers already made, is easy
to figure out and use, and lets you have fun while running your
circuits.
bAz: What do you hope to see in TNM7 Gold?
FS: I hope that TNN Gold allows you to run the business side of pro
wrestling (i.e. contracts, other money matters, etc.) and gives you an
accurate TV rating or PPV buyrate, although some of the plugins do
that very well.
bAz: What do you think of Zeus 3?
FS: I think Zeus 3 doesn't live up to the hype it received. I
downloaded it and wasn't impressed.
bAz: What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?
FS: I think they're great. FCA Cubed is my favorite plugin to use.
bAz: What do you think of the Interview Integrator?
FS: I think the interview integrator is a great way to start/run along
angles. I use it often in my circuits.
bAz: What made you want to create the TNM Warehouse?
FS: I wanted to provide the TNM using public with a variety of
wrestler, gimmick match, weapons, and FCA Cubed exports.
bAz: How long did it take you to create the site?
FS: When I first started, I didn't have very much knowledge of HTML,
so I'd say around 2-3 hours.
bAz: What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match plugin?
FS: I would like to see a Lumberjack match, although I know one is
supposed to be in the works.
bAz: Finally we come to the TNM Sites section..What TNM sites do you
frequent most often?
FS: Most often, I visit the Official Page, The TNM Basement, and
Jeff's TNM Mania although it hasn't been updated in a while.
bAz: What do you think of the sites that post exports of wrestlers who
haven't even wrestled? e.g. Midian, "Titan" a.k.a Paul Wight?
FS: I myself have a Midian export on the TNM Warehouse, but I made him
from watching matches (he's wrestled a few) and info I found on the
internet. I don't know what the other sites do, but if they're not
accurate or ended up not existing (i.e. Titan) then you could use
them as fantasy wrestlers.
bAz: What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?
FS: The TNM Basement is one of my favorite sites because it is updated
often. I just recently subscribed to the newsletter and I must say
that I am impressed.
bAz: And the last question for today Frank...What do you hope to
see in the future for TNM and Frank Stanislawczyk?
FS: For the future of TNM, I hope to see it become even more popular
than it is now. For myself, I hope to make the TNM Warehouse even
better than it is now and become one of the largest TNM sites on the
internet.
bAz: Thanks very much Frank for taking the time to answer these
questions. See ya later and hope to hear from you soon.
{Thanks go to Frank for taking part in this interview. It'll be
