>> INTERVIEW WITH BRIAN BY BARRY SKELLY (TAKEN FROM ISSUE #101)

Baz= Barry Skelly
B= Brian

Baz= How did you actually first find out about professional wrestling and
who were your favorite wrestlers?
B= I first found out about wrestling when I was a youngster. I followed
wrestling liking all the major faces in the business at the time: Hulk
Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, and Brutus Beefcake. Since WWF was
the main wrestling company, I really didn't know much about WCW, but I did
remember some of their top guns like Ric Flair and Sting.
Baz= What in your opinion is the best federation in the world?
B= There's no question that the best wrestling federation to provide top
quality entertainment would have to be the WWF. And for that, it's been
my favorite. Vince McMahon has to be the smartest man in the business and
he is man behind what made the WWF the top promotion in the industry.
Baz= How did you first find out about TNM?
B= I found out about TNM from one of my friends at school. When he was
first discussing it, I thought that this was the real deal and had
everything in it (like Warzone, or Thunder). Little did I know that this
was just a BASIC program with matches in text. I wasn't too hooked on the
concept of TNM until I started forming circuits. It took me awhile to get
a decent circuit going, and after about 5 circuits and 30 cards later, I
felt at home with the WWF Circuit I created.
Baz= What version did you download?
B= I downloaded TNM 6.2 from the TNM site.
Baz= What version did you first register?
B= The first version I registered was the TNM 6.2 plus version.
Baz= What made TNM different from any wrestling simulators that you'd seen?
B= I haven't seen many wrestling simulators out on the market, except one,
I can't recall the simulator, but it wasn't anything like TNM. In my
opinion, unless someone puts graphics or live action on the simulator, TNM
will be tops for quite awhile.
Baz= What do you hope to see in TNM7 Gold?
B= In TNM7 Gold, I hope that we see more of the financial part of the
circuit shown. I have seen some of the money maker plugins and, in fact,
used them. However, I am still not grasping the concept of how they work.
Also in TNM7 Gold, I would like to see where you can make two different
circuits, use the same talent pool and have head-to-head competition like
we see today. Also when hiring wrestlers into your circuit, they ask for
a certain amount of money for X number of years. You can have bidding
wars with your rival circuit. This is all what I would like to see in
TNM7 Gold. Another thing that should be taken care of more with TNM7 Gold
is the Booking part of the match. Although its good to see that I can
finally book matches with certain spots, it is still very vague when
booking. I hope that TNM7 Gold can use more in-depth booking tactics,
like a run-in at a certain time, or Wrestler X puts Wrestler Y on top of
Wrestler Z. I hope you can see where I'm coming from.
Baz= What do you think of Zeus 3?
B= I have heard about Zeus 3, but I haven't used it, so I can't say
anything about it.
Baz= What do you think of the FCA Cubed series of plugins?
B= I have downloaded the FCA Cubed series, and have toyed with the
different kinds of matches on the FCA Cubed but I still am trying to work
out spots in these matches (e.g. Wrestler 1 hits Wrestler 2 with a chair);
stuff like that but more in depth. I think that if I could get these to
operate correctly on my TNM, it would make my matches look a lot more
interesting.
Baz= What do you think of the Interview Integrator?
B= I haven't downloaded the Interview Integrator, but browsing through
other circuits, I noticed that it puts some life into circuits. If
someone has five bucks email me and I let you send it to me so I can buy
it. J/K. When I get around to it, I might send my money in to buy the
Interview Integrator.
Baz= What do you think is the best TNM7 plugin?
B= I like the Ratings changer plugin because for some reason, my ratings
always get screwed up so I can go back and change them. My favorite
plugin to date is the Circuit Editor where you can change card results.
For some reason, my results are always messed up so I'm glad I can change
them now. There's only one thing I don't like about the Circuit Editor.
I can't change results of the most recent card. I've been trying for some
time now to send it in to Oliver Copp on the Bug Report page, but he
doesn't update that very much.
Baz= What would you like to see as the next TNM7 match plugin?
B= I am hoping that there is a plugin that gets all the details of a
match. I would like to see all the different spots of a match whether
Wrestler A knocks out the referee; or Wrestler B helps Wrestler A by
entering the ring and powerbombing Wrestler C. That would be nice.
Baz= What gave you the idea for your circuit?
B= The main reason for the circuit that I am doing today is that I want to
see how my circuit would compare to the current WWF circuit and to make
some changes within my circuit. Examples: Steve Austin being a heel; The
Kliq staying together, etc.
BAz= How long has it been on the web for?
B= My circuit has been on the web for approximately one year. I'm almost
sure its the longest running TNM circuit today on the web.
Baz= What TNM sites do you frequently visit?
B= Many of the people that follow my circuit, often get inspired to make
their own. So when they have it published on the web they give me the
link and I'll check it out. Usually, its other TNM circuits I look at on
the web.
B= What do you think of the sites that post exports of wrestlers who
haven't even wrestled? e.g. Beaver Cleavage, Titan
Baz= I guess people that make the exports for the guys who haven't
wrestled want to be the first to give you an export, I guess. Beaver
Cleavage is making his debut soon so we'll see what he has in his
technical arsenal.
Baz= What do you think of the TNM Basement site and newsletter?
B= You know, I haven't read a newsletter yet, but I have heard some good
things about it. I plan on joining the newsletter in the near future. I
have been to the site too, and it is very promising.
Baz= What do hope to see in the future for TNM and you?
B= The only thing I am disappointed in TNM is with the bugs in the
program. But, no matter what program it is, it will always have bugs in
it. If TNM didn't have any bugs, than I would be one happy person.

I like to thank you, bAz and the TNM Basement Site and newsletter for
asking me for this interview. I wish I could've gotten back at you sooner
with these answers but I managed too. I hope that you may interview me
again in the future. In the next interview I think that you should ask me
questions that go into the depths of my circuit. Just some ideas. Thanks
again.

Ryan says "Hate to tell you Brian but the SWA has been around for 2 years. No
Offense."
