Lost Reality

Hate this place,
Slimy cavern reeks.
Animosity's a defense of haste,
As violence's shield is a pitiful waste.
To live in black fantasy
Is to lose the light's reality.

Fantasy, true life, lost to me,
Reality's confusion I never understood.
Come along for the ride, we'll see
Together, though alone we're forced to be,
Soon now, it won't be long,
The weak, oppressed, will soon be strong.

The world, swiftly turning,
Throws us onto oozing ground.
Fire's searing heat is burning.
Ecstasy's hot red yearning.
Their lies' dim black light
Cloaked inside a pitch dark night.

They crawl beneath the earth to hide.
Their greed, my empathy, loathe to feel.
They won't fight, to me they've already died,
And six feet under, buried, they corrupt young mind.
Snake as temptress, beast as beauty,
Hate as love, they hide, impede our duty.

Savior from long ago came
As pauper, they nailed him to a cross of wood.
And still they kill their brothers like Abel's Cain.
They began evil's filthy reign.
Continuing to oppress the strong,
The hurt's been going on far too long.

Making evil seem far to grand,
They've stolen sheep from holy shepherd.
The innocent see wolf as friend,
Sheep as enemy, and will again.
Small blind sheep follow evil away,
Even as he flings them into fiery grave.

Christ among us hidden away,
Open your eyes to see his light,
He has been sent to stay.
Given shelter, he'll fight.
I will, too, as my actions prove.
Doubt what I say, believe what I do.
