SEE POETRY PAGE TWO FOR DEDICATION

Their huge biceps bulged
As they pulled the heavy beam to the top.
They saw the boss,
And all conversation stopped.

"Move it, let's go!"
Her voice filled them with dread.
They laid the beam well,
Even though nothing was said.

She moved on,
And one called
"How's your hubby?"
The other replied, oviously appalled,

"He's thinking of getting a job!"
An audible gasp was heard from the crowd.
"What'd you do?"
"I told him he wasn't allowed!"

Bertha leaned over the edge and shouted,
"Shake that booty!"
She whistled, attracting the rest.
"Lookin' good baby!" The others hooted.

The poor man below
Walked away almost in tears.
The women laughed,
Bertha bowed amid cheers.

Jo put in her own opinion:
"Shouldn't we respect them?"
Bertha crowed at that and said,
"But, honey, they're only men.
