Nassau

Capital of the Bahamas

Nassau is the capital city of the Bahamas and most Kindred find the two terms to be virutally interchangeable, at least in terms of Domain and such. While maybe eight or ten Kindred make the Bahamas their permanent home, there are another five to fifteen there at any one time. Since the islands are so loosely governed but still within striking distance of the US Coastline in addition to having a large enough tourist population to feed off of easily, Nassau has become a primary meeting location for many Kindred.

It is a Camarilla city, although only one Archon has ever visited it on on business and that was almost fifty years ago. The Prince is Sir Andrew Cable, a Ventrue who runs much of the tourist business in and around Nassau itself. His rules are fairly standard Camarilla fare, with one key exception: No Tremere are allowed in the Bahamas for any reason. No exceptions.

This one rule has been the biggest mystery surrounding these islands for many years, although nobody who lives there seems to pay it much attention. They are probably all too busy enjoying it.

Key Kindred:

  • Chasez

The local Nosferatu, she’s the source of no end of trouble. Widely involved in most of the illegal activities that happen in the Bahamas.

  • Evangeline

The sassy Gangrel, she flies from island to island, making no permanent home anywhere. Hangs out with the Jamaican more than anyone else.

  • Felix Marquez

Although posessing a masculine name, she is definitely NOT a man. This Brujah leader controls much of the city’s shipping. She seems to have an uneasy truce with Prince Cable. If there were an Anarch leader of Nassau, it would be her.

  • Sir Andrew Cable

The Ventrue Prince of Nassau. Controls many of the city’s casinos and more popular tourist attractions. Very laid back for a Ventrue Prince, likes to promote his city as a home of goodwill and vacation. Brings a lot of tourist dollars into the islands.

  • The Jamaican

The mysterious figure who is the enigmatic powerhouse behind the throne. All of the vampires in the Bahamas defer to him in one way or another. How he got to be known as the Jamiacan is an unknown story, since he’s from the Bahamas. He participated in and won the last Tontine. He wears the belt as a source of great pride.
